ESPN-Fair or Unfair?

Mentioned on TOS, the Ohio State special on ESPN really gets me. There's also a commercial that implies success as wearing a "USC Trojan" helmet. IMO, it's a pretty significant recruiting advantage for these institutions. Not to mention one program's coming off suspension while the other one is on it. Sends the wrong message.

Psst. ESPN doesn't care, nor does the NCAA.

I hate what college football has become - a multi billion dollar industry that features amateur athletes - but I still enjoy a good game.

I remember when coach K was on an American Express commercial talking about if you come to Duke, he'll make you a better man. Got played daily for months. I thought the same thing then.

Reminds me of 'merrkan society...1%ers are glorified no matter what they do, and the rest of us are told to stfu and gtfo if we dare to object.

I remember that commercial. Coach K, love him or hate him....most hate him. The images (Duke bball vs. USC or tOSU) and what they portrait are so different.

****New Rule**** If your on probation, your not on an ESPN special.

If only.......:(

The Ohio State promotion is over the top. Urban Meyer plays by his rules and as a former ESPN commentator gets the royal treatment. Look for Delaney to have a come to Jesus moment with this scoundrel and Gene Smith. When you have embarrassed the conference and act unrepentant Delaney will act.

If I was ESPN/ABC I'd tone down my over promotions. They aren't the only game in town the next time the Big Ten rights to prime games is opened for bidding. Fox, NBC Sports (versus) and CBS could get the rights.

What the He11 are you doin' still watching ESPizzin!?

This thread sounds like the cyclown fans complaining about Hy-Vee carrying more Hawk stuff. OSU and Urban have had the kind of success that generates these opportunities.
