Yet another reason not to watch that joke of an activity emerges yet again. You never hear of basketball players getting murdered because they miss a shot, or never hear of field goal kickers getting shot because they miss a game winning kick. Nope, but of course in soccer, the losers who take it way to seriously because their lives are pathetic murder an innocent man because he made a mistake. What a joke of an activity. I'm cheering for the U.S. to lose because I don't want the violence associated with soccer to become apparent in the United States. Anyone that plays and/or enjoys watching it deserves to go to jail.

Oh, that and it's boring as well as borderline mentally retarded.

Not a fan of soccer but actions like this are a result of a culture or a single loon not a sport.

In the US we have mothers that hire killers to off their daughters cheerleading competition. That isn't cheerleading's fault.

The reason most people hate soccer is because they don't know the rules or understand the game. I used to not like it but once I got into and understood what it is about it's a pretty fun game to watch. Most people in the US are too closed minded to try to get into it though.

This is literally the most pathetic argument I've ever heard in my life.

Obviously you dont know much about it since you are reporting on a murder that happened when the US hosted the World Cup 16 years ago. I'd be willing to bet you didnt even know we hosted a World Cup.

Is it just me or is 1994 far more interesting than this thread?

I'd be willing to bet you didn't even know we WON the World Cup in 1991 and 1999.

I was lucky enough to go the World Cup in 94. Saw US - Switzerland. It was the coolest sporting event I've ever been to.

I believe the US has had fans being killed by other fans in the parking lot after both baseball and football games.

Glass houses...
