Escobar murdered because of own goal.

I like soccer and I will be missing class to watch us play Slovenia...just my opinion. College football is still the greatest thing ever though.

I hope you're not a cubs fan because who knows what would have happened to Bartman had he not had protection.

You win! The White Bronco should be the official picture of 1994.

On a side note, lived in England for the good part of a summer a while back. Saw games at Arsenal, Chrystal Palace, Man U., & Southhampton. Also saw the semi-final game between France and Yugoslavia (4-2) at the 84 Olympics (France went on to beat Brazil in the final). It is sport and sport is all good.

Close but not the right scene.....I believe it happens but people get caught before hand. Which is a good thing I suppose ha.

Lost in this e-penis contest is the fact that the reputation of soccer/soccer fan is certainly a barrier in terms of broadening it's appeal in the US. While I'm certainly not blaming the entire sport itself televised soccer is something close to a WWE match, at least in the stands. I for one have no interest in watching a game in which the fans have to be separated by chain link fences, or worse yet games in front of zero fans because it isn't safe.

Ohhh that and watching 90 minuites of a 0-0 soccer game is similar to watching a basketball game in which rather than scoring baskets the winner is determined by holding a flopping conteste between Vlade Divac and Reggie Miller.

Yet another reason not to watch that joke of an activity emerges yet again. You never hear of basketball players getting murdered because they miss a shot, or never hear of field goal kickers getting shot because they miss a game winning kick. Nope, but of course in soccer, the losers who take it way to seriously because their lives are pathetic murder an innocent man because he made a mistake. What a joke of an activity. I'm cheering for the U.S. to lose because I don't want the violence associated with soccer to become apparent in the United States. Anyone that plays and/or enjoys watching it deserves to go to jail.

Oh, that and it's boring as well as borderline mentally retarded.

It appears the OP was banned.

Play on - ADVANTAGE!

The reason most people hate soccer is because they don't know the rules or understand the game. I used to not like it but once I got into and understood what it is about it's a pretty fun game to watch. Most people in the US are too closed minded to try to get into it though.

The stuff I can't stand is the crap where a player looks as though he must have been shot, he's in so much agony, and then a few seconds later they're sprinting all over the place. The acting just p*sses me off.

The game is a lot like hockey, but it's WAY slower because of how big the field is. I'll stick with hockey.
