Eno Benjamin: The One That Got Away

No, he tries to portray Eno as doing something wrong. A lot of these recruits don't know about the no visit policy before they commit. They aren't informed about it until they receive the official offer letter, which is often after they commit, as it was in this case. Multiple Texas recruits spoke about this when this whole thing went down.
What they couldn’t read the letter that clearly stated no more visits? And your telling me KF/Iowa didn’t clearly state take your time/commit when you know for sure as they clearly make known to any and everyone that is their stance?

Please, this isn’t a little kid that they tricked into coming here with candy bribes. He knew what was up and went regardless (now the story goes Kennedy/White said he could which if so is their fault to approve as it was known that you commit them you 1000% sure and no more visits)

Saying he didn’t know as it’s WRITTEN on the commitment letter they send to recruits and Iowa’s very clear in media and everywhere (recruits say all the time they say take time and be sure) that if you commit they will honor it and stop recruiting they position.

Recruiting isn’t cheap and Iowa holds said recruit to these standards of ones word and shuts down recruiting of others. So if recruit isn’t sure and shops around after the fact I’m all for Iowa doing what’s best for Iowa and getting someone who 100% wants to be here and not left at the alter last second.

Stop with the Eno Benjamin threads. It's ridiculous. We have good running backs. He would have been behind Wadley and Butler last year. He's no savior because he ran all over a terrible defensive team. Give me a break.

Here another stat for you. ENO BENJAMIN HAD 27 YARDS IN 13 CARRIES AGAINST MICHIGAN STATE!!!!!

When he played against a real defense...gee...how'd that work out. The Great Eno Benjamin...2.1 yards a carry.
You do realize that ASU throws the ball all over the place right. They are not a run heavy offense and they don’t force the issue like Iowa. Eno will actually make an NFL roster one day unlike Wadley, Butler or any of the three that we currently have.

Such a bad kid.

That’s why I’m going to root for him, and why I get so angry that people would rather bash him vs hope he plays well. He is at a school which has ZERO affect on us. Eno always sounded like a good, intelligent guy which some Weird stuff went down and moved on. I still wish he came here but I don’t have I’ll feelings toward him. Good luck

Eno is a stud, well round, hard running back with good hands. I'd have been nice to have him as a Hawk. Along with a few others.

White and Kennedy f'd up. I personally dont have an issue with KFs policy, but in itself that's not what ended the relationship. It's how the assistants handled it that ended the relationship.

Eno is good. Had an awesome day. Not sure hes tgat much better than Iowas backs, but he good. He's not a Hawk.

The OP got exactly what he wanted.

Chris & Bobby told him to take the visit and not tell Kirk. Why do you insist on misconstruing what occurred?

I didn't misconstrue anything. I said he was continuing to take visits because that is what he was doing. I never said he did anything wrong, I never said he didn't tell coaches, I simply said he was taking visits because he was doing just that.

I heard there was a different reason he went to ASU.

How is any of what I said not fact? If he was Truly committed then he shouldn’t of taken visit. If the assistants told him he could go and hide it that’s on them and they got fired for it after the season.

But to come on here and say you know and I’m misinformed is a blatant lie. He knew clearly I’m sure if it that if committing to Iowa then he shits down visits and is committed not still looking around.

Nobody forced him to commit it was his choice. If he still wanted to visit other teams he should of said so and done it. I think taking a sneak visit is a bad look on him as well as the assistants who knew about it.

Iowa pulled the scholly and moved on. You should as well. And who the funk r you and how do you know anything more than anyone else that has read about it? You know no more than me or anyone so quit walking on water.

He’s a good player. Wish him the best but this slam on KF and Iowa like they didn’t do exactly what they do 98% of the time is crazy. Recruiting is money and investment, a business.

If you meet a girl on Tinder and you start dating but she still has her account open are you totally comfortable that she’s fully invested? That’s exactly what this is/was.

Wow. You need to see someone about all that.

It isn't simply complaining if the recruiting process is bungled by the coaching staff. Such things can be identified and changed. Problem is, they aren't, because Kirk and staff live in a bubble of safety with few identified goals (accountability) or supervision from the AD. There's your problem.

Kirk and son, by their words and actions, demonstrate over and over that they aren't accountable to anyone, other than themselves. Self-regulation = mediocrity = self preservation

It isn't that complicated, it is simply ignored.
