Noone would recruit the Dakotas and Western Minny any better than Les...and he's REALLY good at changin' lightbulbs...provided they've been given proper time to cool down...but hey, who among us HASN'T faltered in a "too hot" bulb situation!?!?

He would also have enhanced our visibility in lower Manitoba and southeastern Saskatchewan.

I'm not bitter that Fran was hired, he's a good man and I think we'll be fine. But you can't help pondering 'what might have been'...

It does feel like we are heading towards another coaching search, doesn't it?

The buyout is less than $4M. If Iowa doesn't make the BTT, the season is over on March 9.

It might be best for all parties if a deal could be reached shortly after that. Fran might say the only deal he'll accept is getting every cent. But maybe he'd be willing to give up just a little in the spirit of a more amicable separation.
