I would consider it a diagonal move. Lateral, but slightly up or down depending how you look at it. The fact he is teaming up with someone he used to work with means that it was more an opportunity for kok than a nudge out the door.

I think of it as an antipodal move in non-Euclidean elliptic geometry.

Even if he isn't making quite as much money, the schedule and his responsibilities won't be nearly as strenuous as an OC in college.
