And its funny that no one has really mentioned Little Eppy much. I am hoping that much like his older brother as a true frosh, he is too good to be kept off the field.
I heard he was running with the 2s saturday... So that'll put him in the rotation to play quite a bit. Which was pretty much what his big bro did too. With as deep and good as the DE spots seem to be for him to be cracking that 2 deep already pretty much just confirms how ridiculously talented he is. 6'3-260ish isn't freakish size wize. He's just strong and has had a lifetime of learning how to play the same position his bro is. His learning curve shouldn't be too big and that puts him steps ahead of some others.

Some things cannot be taught. Being a violent and freakish athlete are right up there. I suspect he could be a third down specialist like his brother was as a true frosh.
I remember seeing lil Eppy at the Hawkeye tailgate at the B1G title game in Indy a couple years ago... we were the few but might Hawk fans in attendance lol
I was blown away by how big young Eppy looked. He looked every bit of 6'5" and huge shoulders. Like a door frame. Surprised to see he's listed at 6'3" and 260lbs. I figured he was bigger than that 2 years ago

Iowa has tended to F with people on those. I wouldn't trust it. I thought I'd seen that the Bills had AJ listed at 6'6 and I've seen pics of those two standing next to each other and they are within an inch of each other if not eye to eye. I'd guess that both are closer to being between 6'4 and 6'5 then 6'3 that's for sure.
Among all the obvious reasons to be sad that Hayden Fry isn't still with us is I think he woulda gotten such a kick out of seeing Eppys family doing so well. He always had such a soft spot for 'Repeat' as he called him. He woulda been those boys biggest fans all 3 of em. I think the daughter played volleyball at Purdue. They had 4 D1 athletes grow up in their house. Just an unreal story when you think about where Eppy came from and for life to be here where they are now.
