If you go by assist to turnover ratio, Locure wins. He is at 1.9, and Carton is at 1.4 Jus sayin.
.....again, I was just joking as I pointed out the only stat that he wasn't better in.

How would these two rank up on the national scene?
Scratching my head??? Are we even recruiting these players?? I guess it's the off season......... Carry on gentlemen.
I believe we are and hope we land one.
So far Fran's recruiting of bigs might be close to being a considered a home run, counting our '17 guys. His recruitment of wings has been a solid double with Wieskamp especially. His recruiting of PGs might be an infield single at this point.
He recruited a 4 star parade All American who has the schools single season assist record and logged the majority of the PG minutes for 130+ games and 4 years at Iowa. The PG help lead the school to 3 straight NCAA tournaments. Fran followed him up with recruiting an All B1G Freshman selection. His single just got bobbled by the SS and he's getting an extra base on the error.

It wasn't last year. Here is why I am not all that concerned about Carton or how Fran is slow playing some of these 19 PG's - or any of the PG's on his radar specifically with an in-state 3 star. Wisci has a 17 PG already coming in this season - he'll be a junior in 19. That's almost a for sure RS for a 19 PG offer from Wisconsin. Iowa's situation is much different - it's 19 PG will arrive when Jordan is a senior and his likely backup will be a combo guard named McCaffery. You probably won't see a RS and you'd come onto a team LOADED with talent and be chief PG after 1 season w/ Garza, Nunge, both Mac's and Joe W. It's in Iowa's best interests to slow roll this and let the recruiting process and player development run it's course. It'd be stupid to accept an offer right now.
Fran will offer at least one of Tyrell Terry, Locure or Carton, soon, most likely.
I've watched some more vids on Terry and am more high on him than I was. At first, he looked like just a shooter. Then, I saw more plays where he had the quickness to get into the lane and finish. He could have the potential to be Bohannon 2.0- the shooter plus the quick disher. Think 247 has him rated in the .95 range.
Is it just me or can anyone else just feel the positive momentum that keeps building for Hawkeye B-ball? I know it's summer and it's easy to get overly optimistic (guilty), but the upcoming season just seems to be lining up to be a special one that we may remember years from now as THE YEAR that lead to greatness for Iowa Basketball for years to come. No more rebuilding - IOWA's RELOADING!!
