Dissention

Tevaun Smith has been playing at a very high level, and its a shame he’s so underutilized and undervalued. Just watch his reaction when he makes a catch. He looks over to the sideline and basically says get me the damn ball again. You can see the frustration, and its the same frustration that CJ Fed spoke of.

I posted in a thread a week or two ago that if this team continued what it was doing that dissension could set in. I didn't expect it this soon but a loss to ISU could ramp things up considerably. The players not helping the qb up after a big hit is very telling. Unfortunately the players will start calling each other out rather than the head coach who is the one who deserves it. Jake will receive the bulk of the criticism which he doesn't deserve, he's just doing what he's told. I remember this happening several years ago. Dissension was setting in but kirk recognized it and was able to right the ship and we still made a bowl game I believe. Let's hope he sees it this time before it's to late.

Derrick Willies is the second best receiver on this team to Smith and with extended PT might prove to be the best. This is a fact right now. It is an absolute joke to see him riding the pine while Hilyer and Vandenburg get tons of reps.

CJ, Willies, Powell, Canzeri & Daniels should be getting a lot of snaps. I would bet money many on the team know this and this causes issues big time. The body language has been bad all season and this is ready to implode all ready.

How can guys be motivated when KF makes these BS player evaluations. He quite simply loves to stick multiple Rudy's out there in hopes being called a genius if one in 100 happens to pan out. Then he can wax poetically about a nice story.

It amazes me that fans think that they know who "should" be playing. Also, Ferentz wants to win more than anyone. Criticism of his decisions during the games is fair, assuming that he has all of these destructive, weird motives is ridiculous.

I don't think anyone thinks he has "destructive, weird motives (well, OK, maybe a few)," I just think he is a great developer of football players, but a sub-par football coach.

When the players who are playing aren't getting results after 3 games it's time to give someone else a chance.

If you think this criticism is so unjust then present an argument why Willies is not playing significantly over Hilyer & Vandenburg. Same with Powell.

Who is producing plays in open practices and actual games? Is that not the freaking point! Practice performance is not scored in your win-loss record.

Big time players make plays on Saturdays when it counts but they cannot make plays from the bench.

I am not saying Hilyer & Vandenburg should never see the field. I am saying that we should be seeing many more combinations of Smith, Willies, Manley and Powell. Then occasionally Hilyer and Vandenburg.

KF is wrong as we should be seeing heavy doses of Willies, Powell, Canzeri, Daniels and yes CJ. This is if true if the point is winning which apparently matters little.
