These guys on College Football Live just said that if there was no BCS and Miami played Iowa in the 2002 Orange Bowl, Miami would "dismantle" Iowa and would be national champions.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA no.
Why were they talking about something that happened over 8 eights years ago?
I hate their "what if" segments.
What if I had Cheerios for breakfast? Stupid.
You'd be helping to lower your cholesterol
I still maintain that the two best teams in the nation met on the field in South Florida that year. Iowa and USC both would have defeated tOSU and Miami that year.

Agreed, USC beats OSU or Miami for sure. What really bugs me about that game is that people only remember the end score. They never remember how close it was at halftime with Iowa leaving a ton of points on the field.

That's true, it was 10-10 at half. I believe it was Mo Brown that dropped a TD right before half, leading to a missed FG by Kaeding. If I recall correctly, Kaeding made two kicks that were both negated by false starts, before eventually missing the third or having it blocked.
IIRC, they were inside the 5 yard line 3 times and only came away with 3 points. Lot of missed opportunities. On a side note, Netflix is sending me this DVD for tomorrow.
