I need to change my avatar back. The lady obviously is bi-polar with psychosis and is stressed and is trying to get help with no idea what to do. That type of mental illness is hard for families to deal with and oft they more or less abandon the ill person as efforts are tiring and futile. People like that had more help (albeit sometimes forced) prior to the 80s. Lot's of homeless in that situation. It's sad. Probably something she said has some connection to the location I'd guess.

I feel bad for individuals in distress as well, but as a society we are doing our part. We have hundreds of millions of taxpayers paying in. The federal and state governments are the ones who are not allocating the proper funds to help. It would seem most of the help comes from charity groups and ministries. I'm not sure that the citizens are the ones dropping the ball.

No, I definitely meant the state governments, such as closing institutions.

This is even coming out of the Republican me. I prob lean most towards what Libertarians believe, but, they will never have the numbers to get anybody in the higher offices.
