Dickerson is transferring

Looking at more tape, I think Fleming could and will step in and play some PG next year. It would still be nice to bring another PG in to be able to take over as a sophomore after Gesell and Clemmons leave after next year. PG and Center have to be two prime targets for Fran.

As far as recruiting, all I have heard is that Fran is a tireless recruiter. I cannot imagine he would not expect the same out of his assistants?

That's concerning.

That's concerning.

At this point, who else would do it if Clemmons and Gesell needs a break? Another JUCO, possibly? It looks like much of the tape on Fleming he is playing the point anyway. Not sure his true position and not sure what he plays at Oak Hill. I wouldn't be concerned about it in the least as I am sure it would just be for a minute or two until Gesell or Clemmons were rested. It probably wouldn't happen often. I do think a PG is a must, for the 15-16 class, but it may to too late at this point?

At this point I'd expect Jok to start playing some PG in the future, especially in 2016 when Gesell and Clemmons are gone. Similar to how Marble did it last year. He doesnt always play point, but has that ability if needed.

McCaffery:
"He's got to bear down there," McCaffery said. "Going to get a ton of phone calls about him. We'll talk to people, impress upon them that he has great character.
"A lot of times when there's transfers, the first thing is are there character issues, is he a knucklehead, did he flunk a drug test, anything like that. There's no issues at all with regard to those issues."

"I'm not doing anything other than trying to help the kid make sure he finishes strong here academically and put him in a position where he can transfer anywhere he wants," McCaffery said. "He's got to bear down there. We'll help him.

It sounds like he has some catching up to do academically.

Clemmons said Tuesday he had spoken with Dickerson about going through struggles.

"Most of it (not playing) is pride, but a lot of people can't take stuff like that," Clemmons said. "He was a strong enough individual and just said, 'Alright, I just can't go through it.' "

Here's the answer to the PG speculation in this thread.

Per the DSM Register

With Dickerson's departure, McCaffery has two scholarships remaining for the class of 2015. He'd ideally like to use one for a big man, with Gabe Olaseni and Aaron White graduating, and one for a guard — though he said Tuesday that incoming recruits Isaiah Moss and Andrew Fleming could play the point if necessary.

Fran also said he would take a 5th year transfer player but they have to be a fit for the program. Team chemistry comes first.

We will find out more in about a month or so on who's available and being pursued on the college basketball free agent market(5th yr players). That goes for JUCO players as well.
