Desperately looking to change the Karma - Iowa Buzzer Beaters

Bump. Need more. We are long overdue to turn our luck around. Maybe team can win a few in BIG tourney and NCAAs for coach Fran with all he is going through

Do buzzer beaters to end the 1st half count? If so there was Cully Payne's 3/4 court shot against I think Texas.

Those are nice, but I'd say no. We need shots that won the game for us. I remember Andre Woolridge making a half-court heave at the end of the first half at Wisconsin back in '96, while we're on the subject.

Speaking of Woolridge, it would be cool if someone could dig up a video of his game winner against MSU late in '95. That was an awesome game with an even better ending.

I thought Iowa also had a couple in 1989-1990. Les Jepsen against Illinois, and a couple others against Purdue and Michigan that same year IIRC. Funny thing was, that team went 4-14 in the Big Ten, and I think 3 of those wins came on last second buckets.

Didn't Rodell Davis have a tip-in at the buzzer to beat ISU in 1991?

I'm doing my best to come up with more and keep the thread alive...

Good post! Wouldn't it be cool if we break the steak of missed game winners in the tourney when it matters most? Man are we due!

Here's a another good one -Iowa makes two free throws with 3 seconds left and George Washington misses the buzzer beater to win it.

This isn't necessarily a buzzer beater, but even after watching it I still have zero recollection of this game:

I'm pretty sure that AW winner is on the "Tom Davis: Class Act" video from KCRG news after his retirement. Its on youtube, watched it recently. I don't know how to post videos so somebody else will have to take care of that part.

Also thinking of betting on Northwestern tomorrow. I've never bet against Iowa, only for them, or not at all. Maybe that will help?

I remember it. Started around 7pm Iowa time on Friday of the NCAA Tournament. I remember I was pumped because I didnt have school the next day

Here it is. All you have to do to post a video is copy the URL and paste it in your post, and the video should show up automatically. At about the 9:30 mark, there are some last second shots, including Woolridge's jumper. Lookingbill apparently also hit one against MSU in 1993..
