Defense

Give the Hawks some credit they shut down the best RB in the country and a Heisman lock. And let's not forget about lot lizard who will probably get in the NFL HOF before he plays a game, that good folks.

Like I said, why do you post things when you obviously know little about football and Iowa's technique? The D-line is not supposed to 'penetrate' in the 'run game'. The are supposed to fight to heel deep and control their gap responsibility. Stalemating the O-line is acceptable, penetrating to deep opens up 'natural' holes. And they blitzed at least 3 times that I remember (I can probably find more if I go back and look) so why would you say 'no blitzing'? We have 'depth' on our defensive line, do you mean 'better' depth? Faith played well. We gave up like 60 yds. rushing and no TD's and you're complaining about the defense, lol. What would it take for you to think they played good defense? -100 yds. rushing and 5 safeties??? We were favored heavily the last time we played Iowa St. at home, AND GAVE UP 20 POINTS and LOST with Jim Reid coaching us. Please enlighten us more with your 'brilliant' opinions, lol. You're a hoot!!!

Yes and We all know your Right, so don't have a different opinion or thought that Isn't Yours.You are the God of football we get it now move on to somewhere else.Since you seem to believe you have all this knowledge to share go over to the Cyclone board and help there team out.

I don't give 'opinions'! Opinions are worthless by their very definition...."a view or judgment formed about something, not necessarily based on fact or knowledge." If it's not based on fact or knowledge what the hell the sense in expressing it??? What I'm sharing with you guys is based on fact and KNOWLEDGE!!! But if YOU don't agree with it or I correct YOU, it's YOU guys that get all bent out of shape and cr and name call.....
 
And I'll speculate or make predictions based on really good information, but those are not 'opinions'. There's a difference.

I didn't think I saw the Raider Pkg. the whole game, so I went back and looked at the play you mentioned. They weren't in the Raider Pkg., they were in their Nickel package and had Jewell and Ragumba showing blitz, but they still had their 4 down linemen in the game, so they weren't in Raider, but the way Jewell and Ragumba and Neimann were lined up, I can see why you thought that.

Go back and read. I didn't hijack anything. I tried to explain something very nicely to WOTC and he started calling me names. I didn't even bring up that he (WOTC) was wrong about Johnson being double teamed 'all night'. At the beginning of the game when Johnson was making a bunch of plays the center wasn't doubling with the guards, they had their guards trying to handle him by themselves and were firing the center out on the LB's (mainly Bower). It didn't work very well and Johnson made them pay....

Well I guess the Gazette should of talked to you first,they said we used the Raider package once( opinion or fact). You must be a Politician at Heart,you love to listen to yourself and your never wrong.Keep watching the replays and writing every little thing down so you can put it on here.Some of us have better things to do that are more productive.
By the way I bet your not married or you've been divorced at least once.Haha

First of all, the Jim Reid comments are moronic at best, but suit you well. Ask Morris, Kirksey, and Hitchens what they think of Jim Reid. I'm sure you probably have dinner with them regularly and their NFL buddies, although you probably try to sleep with them every chance you get.

Second, did you realize Warren and the other back averaged over four yards a carry? Lanning had a few positive designed runs also. When you get down 28-3, it's pretty hard to stick to the running game. Like I said, it was better than the Miami game, but Iowa State doesn't exactly have 5 all-Americans on the offensive line. Why do you think you have to "enlighten" everyone with your infinite wisdom? Did you not get enough attention as a kid or something. I get our defensive scheme you idiot, and how we use our tackles to protect the linebackers...but I'm saying they doubled him all the time...even in pass protection. Also, I agree stalemates are good at the LOS, but getting penetration and protecting gap integrity is also acceptable. Ask all the people you know...I'll wait. It's also why they keep track of TFL.

When you line up as a 1 tech, the offense is forced to double team you by rule. I would ask Gamefilm is that's true but I've heard he's stupid and has no idea what he's talking about.

You 'get' our defensive scheme? Well then please explain it to us? What technique does each one play and what our their responsiblities? Do we flip out ends to strength and how is 'strength' determined? Tell us about the LB calls and where they line up in each one and what their reads are? etc.etc.etc.etc.etc....You know NOTHING about our defensive schemes, so why don't you shut up and try to actually learn something. Why do YOU come on here and make totally ignorant statements? Trying to convince someone that you know something about football? See, you 'wannabees' love to run your mouths off criticizing coaches and players and acting like you know something about football, and absolutely hate it when someone who does comes along and points out that you have no idea what your talking about, and cry and name call and act like little children who had their 'baba' taken away from them. And your sticking by your statement that they double him all the time clearly shows how delusional you are. I told you, I WATCHED THE REPLAY PLAY BY PLAY and they did not double him 'all the time'. Are you saying someone used CGI on the replay I watched and digitally removed one of the linemen??? YOU are the one with the problem sir and I would suggest that you just enjoy the games and if you get on the internet try to 'learn' something from people who do actually know what's going on..........
