Darrell Wilson to Rutgers

New coaches means we'll be unpredictable. Look on the bright side--other teams won't a clue about what kind of team we'll have.

KF is still here, EVERYBODY knows what we are going to run on O and D, nothing will change.

I agree, it should have happened after '10. But better late than never I guess.

In the end this will prove one of two things, Kirk is a good coach and can turn this around or Kirk was mediocre and had good assistant's back in his earlier years (mainly Norm) and he won't turn it around.

Or maybe Kirk will just be Kirk and in 2014 it will look like it has been turned around for a few years just for the bottom to fall out again.

I truly have no idea what to think about this. Bur I'm curious if this could be the result of new coordinators and a head coach reassessing where they are as a program. Whether we believe it or not we know what GD plans to do with the offense and maybe Phil is having second thoughts about staying true to what Norm did. Could it be that both these coordinators and KF want to go a different direction and bring in guys that are familar with the direction they want to go.

Honestly I have no idea and am just throwing this out there. With a staff that was together as long as Kirk's has been with as little changes made as there have been they fit into a mold in which they've become methodical and mechanical to that style. Maybe they're looking to go a different direction and want to bring in guys that are more capable then the current staff was to make these changes.

Regarding Wilson's departure, I have no ill will toward him for leaving, but hate the fact that he chose to make a to the same position with a change of scenery I wish he'd of relocated to another conference. Hope it works out for both sides in the long run.

Nah, let's just keep up with the status quo. It's working out wonderfully for us. Wouldn't you agree? Obviously I wasn't implying he pull a number out of a hat. What I'm saying is what's he's comfortable with ain't f'n working.

Ok but the point you referenced in my post was regarding him taking his time in making his coaching hires was it not? I would agree with you that the status quo isn't working. The program needs changes. Certainly on the field and in game management. Clearly changes are being made. We'll see whether the coaching changes effect what we see on the field.

I, like most of you, don't think it will effect that much because KF is still in charge. However, you quoted my post and highlighted the part about taking his time with decision making, which lead me to believe you think he should just hurry up and get it over with instead of taking his time to make the right decision. I absolutely believe these hires are critical. If he needs to take his time in order to make the right choice I'm fine with that.
