Danuel House visiting Iowa

He has visits set for South Carolina and UCLA. Others involved are Iowa, ISU, USC, UNLV, and Seton Hall.
 
He was a 5 star recruit of out high school per this article, creates his own shot and gets to the line. Took over 27% of his team's shots while on the court. Averaged 13.6 pts, 5.3 rbs, 1.9 assists, 42% FGP 33% FP3 last season for Houston. Possibly a long shot with many schools involved, but I think he would be a great pick up. It doesn't appear he has anything scheduled with Iowa at this point?

He sounds great. But after the last 2 transfer possibilities, the first thing I would want to know is why he wanted to leave Houston in the first place? Then we might know if we have a prayer in getting him. Atwood wanted 30+PT, Huff wanted a guarantee at starting SF. House would probably get lots of PT and start at Iowa. What else is he looking for?
 
Its pretty easy to get hung up on how good a player seems to be, but their are a lot of good players. Iowa will get their guys.
 
How can we possibly sell ourselves to transfers? We're an overcrowded roster with questions at point guard. Unless Fran starts to show some ruthlessness with playing time/rotations we can't seriously expect to be in the mix with high profile transfers.

Who's going to take a leap of faith for 18 minutes per game?

In 2015, House's kind of talent could earn serious minutes on a talented Iowa team as a junior. He would then play his senior year with TD and Jok. If he's leaving Houston because of incoming coach Kelvin Sampson's reputation, perhaps he'd welcome a clean program. That's the most attractive scenario we could offer.

Don't let this thread mislead you. We're not in the picture for House.
 
Iowa recruited House very hard when he was in HS and until he blew up on the AAU circuit and became a 5* prospect, I think Iowa had a decent shot at him, Iowa was recruiting quite a few players in Texas at that time and the two most notable ones House/Ibeh (@Texas) had big jumps in recruiting after their Jr. seasons.

Iowa has a little history with him, so hopefully that helps.
