Dabo just said the ACC is a great league and that Wake Forest would be 9-3 in any league and Virginia Tech and Virginia would win 8 games in any league. I'm going on record, after watching Wake play twice this year...there is no way in hell they win 9 games if they were in the Big Ten. This is a team Clemson beat 52-3 also. Nice try Dabo...take your PT Barham act somewhere that doesn't know real football...like the Big 12.

I can hear the Clone faithful now...we'd win the ACC if we played in that league.
 
Dabo has it made at Clemson. Can literally use how weak the confrence is to sell recruits on an almost guaranteed playoff appearance.

Iowa State probably would be top 3 in the confrence, that says alot about the ACC

Might be a weak league, but you’re smoking crack if you think Iowa could keep it within 30 of Clemson 9 out of 10 games.

How many national championship appearances has he led Clemson to and how many has he won?!?!

There you go reading things into my posts again. Where did I say anything about Clemson? I laughed hysterically at the fact that he is selling how good his conference is by pushing a narrative that Wake Forest would win 9 games in the Big Ten, or SEC. That's laughable.

Clemson would beat us 9 out of 10 times...maybe 8 if good Stanley showed up.

You mean would beat Iowa 10 out of 10 times right now every time!
 
I can't really blame him, he's trying to pump up his conference that his football team just stomped all over. The ACC is really bad right now but I wouldn't expect any of their football coaches to admit it. Take out Clemson and the AAC is a better conference right now.

Exactly, he is nervous that some way the committee won’t accept them and he is trying to pump up his conference which is pretty weak as a whole. Once again another reason to go to more teams in the playoffs. The downfall is Then we would just have to listen to Saban bitch about how his two loss team is better than a zero or one loss team
 
Lol. Conference is so bad he has to try to sell it as otherwise. Dabo in ACC reminds me of Debby in the Big 8 when ISU, Kan, KSt, OKSt were all god-awful. One tough game every year vs OK to decide if you were 10-1 or 11-0 and playing for a Natty.
 
I should point out that Duke beat NW in both ‘17 & ‘18.
The same NW teams that beat Iowa both of those years.
The same NW team that was B10 West conf champ in ‘18.
 
I was specifically talking about it being weak this year. In the past there has been more parity and some really good teams but this year ACC has been pretty inconsistent. I thought NC, Syracuse, VT and some other would have better years but that didn’t pan out after the first few weeks. Pitt and VT showed flashes but couldn’t maintain success. Miami I can’t understand how they have fallen so much even with all of the bad hires at HC. From a regional standpoint you would think they would have a plethora of players but coaching turnover I think has crippled a lot of the programs
 
If you take a glance at Massey's Composite conference ratings, not a single one of the one of the 52 mathematical models used in the index has the ACC above 5th. They're very close to American Athletic Conference.

The only thing really keeping the AAC below the ACC is Clemson being well above anyone else in either conference, and the AAC having two horrendous teams, Connecticut & East Carolina.

There is a huge drop from the top 4 and 5(ACC) & 6(AAC).
 
Virginia and Virginia Tech are fair comparisons to Iowa. If they played Iowa’s schedule this year they would win 8 games why is that so far fetched?

In '17 and '18...

Duke beat the B10 West Div Champ in '18.
Duke finished 6th out of 7 in the ACC Coastal that year.

My point is the ACC is not nearly as bad as suggested on this thread.

Clinton fan did something similar when he said that our basketball team is national championship caliber because we beat LAST YEAR'S runner up, which was gutted up front and in the backcourt, one one given night.

I don't know why he puts pen to paper sometimes, or in this case finger to keyboard/keypad.

Akron beat Northwestern as well....so that makes the MAC under rated!
