Could Iowa State Be The Last Straw For Mack Brown?

The isu game may not be the last straw but I think I heard a couple more tap taps on the last nail in the coffin.

Mack Brown let Major Applewhite throw the ball about 50 times when they could have crushed isu running the ball and set up play action.

I am 61 and 8 years ago when I was still catching my son once in awhile as he played college ball I think my arm was stronger than case mccoy's.

Texas's defensive line would give up huge holes. OU might clobber texas.

Texas is horrible. Why were they having McCoy pass so much when their RBs were doing so well? Their defense is a joke. How do you not win with that kind of talent

I loved cyclone fans saying that they would beat Iowa now. Umm you beat a horrible team and lost to another bad team at home. I think at best Texas wins 6 games.

I would like to modify my previous statement. Even though they won, the entire Texas coaching staff should still resign. In Applewhite's post game he was talking about how they wanted to run more and that they were hoping to get more than 29 carries but the clowns forced them to throw the ball more. I had to change the station after that.
I don't follow Tejas, but I can't believe how terrible their offense is. James Vanderpberg is better than Case McCoy...by a lot.

Texas looked bad. All that talent and a 5 million a year coach and they win a squeaker in Ames. How can a team that has an offensive line that out weighs the defense by 30 pounds not be able to run the ball? And Texas won 9(?) games last year. Mack Brown was talking national championship before the season started. And now....?

That's just it. All major applewhite would have to do to win last night was to run the ball and play action pass. Major ain't gonna get a good job after Mac gets fired. But, hey, maybe major and KOK are related.

I hear ya, but let's get real. Texas as 10 times the talent that Iowa has this year. Plus Isu was dumb enough not to get number 2 involved in the Iowa game.

Just because they have more talent doesn't mean they are good. They obviously aren't. And Iowas run D is ten times better than Texas's run D.

I think you know that's not true. I didn't know this at the time, but Isu's qb was handicapped with a bad ankle during the Iowa game. Isu's offense is based off of the rushing potential of the qb. The pistol is a good offense when the qb can run. He couldn't vs Iowa cause of that bad ankle. Just something to consider is all.

The ISU QB wasn't the problem, though. The ISU OL was/is. Just too inconsistent. And of course, one of them will occasionally kick the ball out of his RBs hands...

Weisman just ran for another first down.

Really hard to be upset at officials in a game where you give up a 50 yard hail mary at halftime, fumble giving Texas an easy FG, and cant convert a touchdown late in the game.

Officials didnt lose it, but I can see how everyone's frustrations came out in a game that ISU was a majority better IMO.

he's a dead man walking anyway. they aren't going to fire him this season given the AD has already announced his resignation. The new AD will fire Brown and hire his own guy.

But Deloss isn't leaving until next year, the Athletic Department may have delayed his departure as some weird way of getting back at the local media in Austin.. The BMD's want the new AD to "own" the decision over the new coach. If Mack has any kind of decent run to end the year he will have a "farewell tour" next year.
