Could Husker Fans Rival Clone Fans In Delusions of Grandeur?

It is not even close, ISU fans believe the unbelievable. Nebraska fans have been there and done that...they also expect perfection to an extreme. If they lose they want blood and that blood is usually the coaching staff's blood.

The 1480 station in Lincoln was already picking their Heisman candidates for the year 2013. Their picks included Taylor Martinez, Jamal Turner (wide receiver), and Braylon Heard (Fr. RB who doesn't even play now).
Tells me they are already looking past 2011, hoping for a better team in the future, AND they are in fact very delusional.

I hate both teams and i had a vision posted here 42-17 wisconsin win. I had a non bias prediction. I Have a friend whos a badger fan and he just gets under my crawl. I do have to admit they are tough this year and have a young team. I would say next year might be a ***** also.

Nebraska's fans are among the most delusional out there. I know plenty of them. They all say the team "fell apart" "got burned by a good passer". Never admit they just got humbled by a better team. One guy just shows the clip of Eric Crouch leveling the Iowa D back in 90 something and laughs. They really need to lose again today. Can't wait to hear what they would say about that.

This whole, they were with Wisky for x amount of time is what gets me. If Wisky hadnt coughed up the ball and gave Nebby such good field position, Nebby would have only scored 10 points. The fact that they think it was close in the first part of the game is what is delusional, unless you expect Wisky to cough it up everytime after the force you to punt. The only time it was close was when Nebby went 3 (or what ever) and out and then Wisky did the same. After that it was not much of a game anymore.

[quoteo=WinOneThisCentury;546125]I think most of them believe they were a play away from taking down Wisconsin last week. There was no humbling in their delusion.
Do you have any reference, or are you just making things up, cuz.i have heard no such thing. Most Husker fans realize that we were outplayed and outcoached last week. We r not happy about it.Fyi.... Gerry DiNardo was on local radio this week, and he said that for the first quarter and a half, he thought that Nebraska was the better team, them things totally unraveled after that first pick. We panicked and lost sight of what we needed to do. Either way, we stol got pimp slapped.[/QUOTE] That is what we are talking about you weren't the better team for any part of the game and you didn't let it slip away after that. you never had it.

So they admit they fell apart? So they admit they got burned on D? but because they didnt come out and say "We suck, we should have stoped playing football in 1999 because it is just over we should just pack it in because we are awful" that they are delusional? What did you say about isu after the that game?

So, we are horrible this year, and we have not chance to ever be good again. Does that make you feel better? I guess only a select few teams have the right to be optimistic about their year, huh?

I swear, the inferiority complex shown by some of you is down right frightening.

Weird, because that fumble was caused by a great hit by one of our players. I actually watched the game, and those 3 picks thrown by Taylor were horrible passes, it wasn’t like Wisconsin’s db’s made great plays, they just got balls put right in their hands. And that was after our OC (which he later admitted) went away from the run game, even though we were getting yards there. There is a difference between being fortunate, and making a great play.

That is what we are talking about you weren't the better team for any part of the game and you didn't let it slip away after that. you never had it.
I didn’t say it, it was BTN announcer Gerry DiNardo who said it, and he is not a Husker fan. But then again, I guess he has only been involved in the game for his entire adult life. I guess that some anonymous posters on a message board know more.

Yes, apparently we should just fold our program, or go to FCS, or something. But since there are only 8 or 10 other schools that can match our tradition, does that mean that all other schools who have had less success should quit too?

Just curious.

hey 74hunter, you've been crop-dusting our board for a long time now
why don't you take a little break?

I haven't heard of any cyclone fans expecting a lot this year. ISU has barely beaten 3 bad teams, and got thumped by an average Texas team. Most ISU fans that I know don't think ISU will win more than 2 more games this year. ISU's easy pre-conference schedule isn't going to help them come conference play.
