Cory Clark/John Meeks article



Hopefully Meeks will eventually feel the same way. It sounds like Clark is Iowa's to lose.

That 2012 class is pretty loaded. Alex Tsirtsis brother (Jason?) will be ranked #1 at his weight by then. He's also looking at four titles.
 


hopefully meeks will be in shape next year....am i the only one upset with that finals match and made the sport of wrestling look bad??

we have always preached there are no timeouts in wrestling but there clearly was in this finals match
 


Yeah I'm sure that was the first time in the history of wrestling that someone took an injury timeout because they were gassed.

It happens more then you think. And technically, if he couldn't breath, thats injured enough to stop the match.

A solid conditioning program like Iowa's would serve him well though.
 


o i know it happens quite often thats why it should be addressed...meeks would of been dinged or taken down if it wasn't for the stop...

You said Meeks made the sport of wrestling look bad, if it happens all the time, how did Meeks make wrestling look any worse?
 


because it happens all the time but its rarely shown on tv to the public! in the eyes of ppl who don't know what wrestling is about and trying to learn they already have something in their eyes and when they watch that they might be turned away is all im saying...

So your saying that this ONE incident of John Meeks needing an injury timeout, will cost the sport of wrestling hundreds of fans?

lol no your over exaggerating my posts...it won't COST it just might weigh a lil more on some fans....it could of been anybody and im sure it happened multiple times that night

as a fan for my 25 years i thought it was bs he took a breather and was 100% after it...i don't even remember who the meeks was wrestler nor care

No I'm not, you said he made the sport of wrestling look bad. I'm sure thousands of people tuned in Saturday night. So by your logic, I'm sure the sport lost a few hundred fans.

Unfortunate really, what a shame.
