Cornhuskers trying to recapture the Tom Osborne magic

I don't know why, outside of maybe morbid curiosity, but I read all 24 pages of that thread today.
What I came away with after reading it all is:
1. Nebby fans are really big on victim shaming
2. They don't want to consider it child pornography because he used to date the girl in 8th grade so that makes it ok
3. They will turn on their own like sharks if another Nebby fan thinks this piece of crap of a human should face more than a few games suspension
4. They have more sympathy for the gutless pile of walking trash than the poor girl whose life was already damn near ruined by the video the first time it showed up and then has to relive it again.
5. The Nebby fans have absolutely no right to.represent the B10 in any fashion.

This thread is precious

". . . kids, we're looking for misdemeanors not felonies when we recruit you . . . "

ROTFLMAO

Big Red Nation has been looking the other way since the days when a drunk Bob DeVaney would get stopped (more than once) by Nebraska Hwy Patrol on suspicion of drunk driving and the Patrolman saw he had a hooker in the car with him.
'Nothing to see here' ...and they'd escort him home while another officer dropped the hooker off somewhere in Omaha.
Truth!!
F-Nebby and their horse$hit culture of corruption!

Damn, I wish I had that kind of clout with law enforcement.

Wasn’t Osborne’s magic, cheating and playing criminals?

A final update as the thread is moving down their page and largely inactive. With just under 350 voting, Huskers say keep the kid on the team by a 55-45 margin.

Well I watched a little bit of their spring media day.
Lots of lieing. The former attorney general said he never represented him. Frost said at the media day they contacted him to represent him and got word back they didn't think it was any big deal.
Frost claims he didn't know what it was about, just that the former attorney general said it wasn't a big deal.
Now what coach has a player wanted for questioning by the state attorney general and doesn't find out why?
Everyone is lieing and trying to claim plausible deniability.

Someone that coaches in a state where everyone is on the coach's and player's side no matter what they do, even if it's hiding a player's gun, taking booster money in compensation for rushing yards, selling complimentary tickets, distributing steroids, getting cars, cocaine use, etc.

I think they had a 4-star WR with an NFL dad who got in trouble and left school. This was back under Riley. Since they like to recruit Cali we're gonna get more stories like this one in the coming years.

Check out this gem from the article, lol...

Nebraska head coach Scott Frost announced Tuesday that sophomore running back Maurice Washington would be a limited participant in spring practices, as he awaits clarity on legal charges in California.

During his first press conference of the spring on Tuesday, Frost said Washington will be part of what Nebraska does in practice, but “won’t be doing as much as he might be doing.” Frost said he’s not sure if Washington will be at every practice this spring.

“I’m troubled any time anybody who is involved with our team conducts themselves in a way that sheds a negative light on the team or the university,” Frost said. “Everybody involved with our program needs to understand they don’t just represent themselves, they represent our team and the University of Nebraska, the athletic department and the whole state.
Apparently he's not so troubled that he won't let the kid keep practicing.

What a douche.

Hey @74Hunter , I can smell you lurking and wishing you had an answer for this stuff to chime in about. Do you guys love Maurice Washington because he's a good running back, or because he's so similar to Lawrence Phillips?

You got any of those "What Would Larry Do?" bracelets left?

You forgot texting child porn rape videos to the person who got raped to make fun of her.

That's what I thought. It's not enough to be involved and flat out guilty of atleaat part of the crimes in this case.
It's like saying oh you robbed a store at knife point, ok, just as long as it wasn't at gunpoint.
But it even goes a step further because what they are saying is, well we know you robbed the store (sent it to her) since the question of the weapon (the other charges) and since you technically haven't been found guilty in the court of law, ok.
