Congrats to CJB: Co- Big Ten Player of the Week

I know it's all water under the bridge, but I wish CJ would have gotten more experience last year. He has a tremendous skill set, and I think he will continue to improve with experience. I can honestly say that I don't think we win the game last Saturday with Jake Rudock as our quarterback. CJ had moments where he wasn't great, but he made the plays he had to when it mattered most. He just has "it". Very excited to see him grow this year and next.
 
Wow! What a confidence builder for the young man. I still don't know how he was able to rip off 40 and 50 some yards on those two runs. How did the Iowa St. D not converge on him at some point up the field? He pretty much ran straight for the majority of the yards until they finally got to him, well down field. Anybody who was at the game have any comments from seeing the entire field on those two runs? There must have not been a defender within 30 yrds of him. Kind of weird seeing how far he ran before any defender could even be seen.

Watch those runs again. Between the two runs, there were at least 6-7 missed tackles....so they weren't just straight line runs.....and then some guys just took horrible angles, not realizing how fast CJB is. In fact, I think he is second only to Jason Manson in 40 time for QBs under Ferentz.
 
Remember all those silly people that thought JR was better than CJ. Yeah, those were funny times.

I knew about 10 plays into the second half of the Pitt game that Sunshine was far, far superior to Riddick and that not naming the Ceej the starter immediately after was an epic mistake.

I've seen few more obvious things in my life.

Let's not get carried away, it was one game. This is really a game of ebb and flow. Honestly, we were fortunate to be in the game after the way he practiced last week. That's football.
 
Kirk, what do you think about CJ getting offensive player of the week?

Rudock is doing great over at Michigan. I can't even spell some of the classes he's taking. We had 2 good quarterbacks last year.
