Coker is clearly tired and yet McCall sits

Your playing time should be determined on a sample size of less than 3 touches, everyone knows that.

yeah, let's put the savior of iowa football back in. maybe we'll surprise the big 10 and win it all with his efforts. whoops......he fumbles. fire ferentz.

a freshman that fumbles on his second carry of a game is NOT ready to play.

Many freshmen have fumbled in their first carries...but to fumble inside the five? MM will have to earn the trust of the staff to get another chance in that situation.

KF put him in at that time because the o-line were ripping huge holes, and a chance for the kid to get his first TD. Ball protection, rookie.

At least that fumble should shut some of these experts up.

true freshman comes in and fumbles, and you have coker...yeah hes not going to play anymore. I wouldn't have put him back in either in a close game.

Imagine his confidence level, if KF did put him back in the the second-half...and he laid it on the ground again?

he was looking at the hole and not focusing on simply getting the ball. time for a new RB coach. Perhaps OC and maybe, just maybe, this will be Ferentz' last stand.....

some of these posters are ridiculous. Its up to McCall how he responds. no one to blame but himself. I am sure he will learn and do better. Coaches gave him a shot...

Bullock's fumble in the ULM game added to McCall's fumble today pretty much guarantees Coker's workload won't change til 2012.

bad spot to put the kid in. coker was running well and that wasn't the time.

I disagree. I'm sure McCall was told that was the series...he knew and was prepared for it.....you just can't fumble the ball like that. It was the right move, but he's not quite ready.

So tired of "mccall mccall mccall". We got mccall and he gave up seven and yet Coker continues to be the leading (or 2nd) rusher in the conference. I can only imagine if it was Coker who had fumbled, boy we really would of heard it then "mcall, where's mccall?" JOKE
