ISU isn’t going to get smoked by OK or TCU.
Don't know about that. Especially if Kempt can't play.

Yeah, I guess so.Don't know about that. Especially if Kempt can't play.
That's just a given that we'd hear that. We play in the west and that will be an excuse used over and over.Yeah, I guess so.
Since we beat them then I’d prefer they would win the rest of their games since
we know that if this is a special season, we are going to hear how weak Iowa’s schedule is.
90% of the isu fans at the game had their "Beat Iowa" shirts on which proves their obsession with us and this is their Super Bowl. I saw Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds t-gaiting in the Kinnick parking lot wearing Cyclone gear. I almost went up to her to tell her the clones were going to loose today and that she would loose in November. I guess she is an isu grad.
BryceC, what are your thoughts on the game? When your cyclones took that opening drive and marched right down the field and scored 3, man, I was worried. I think a lot of ISU fans thought they would win this one. I thought it could go either way. Everyone says our offense sucked, but maybe ISU has a pretty good defense.I think you would have really confused her with all this talk of loosing.

Way less talented ISU teams have beaten Iowa, so to say that because ISU kept it close that they are as talented means nothing. Point out where I was wrong instead. Iowa has the better OL, TE, QB, DL and secondary. That doesn't mean ISU doesn't have talent, just they lag behind Iowa's talent at those positions.
I don't care how good they are. I don't care if they win the rest of their games. I don't care if Oklahoma comes to Ames and hangs a 50 burger on them. I don't care if TCU beats them like a rented mule. Iowa is done with them for the year.
I can honestly say that I felt good after the first drive as well (but a little scared at the same time). Yes, ISU shoved up our butts, but I knew Phil would make adjustments, ISU only got 3, and Iowa has always had the philosophy of making teams make repeated long, sustained drives to score, which is very hard to do no matter the level of teams.Felt really good after that drive. I didnt think they would win but I definitely expected them to play better on offense.
Iowa State does have a pretty good defense but Iowa left a lot of opportunities out there especially with the short field.
The clowns will always be the lesser program.
I would say those are pretty accurate. Going in I would probably put the secondary as a slight ISU lean. The ISU corners are a little better but Iowa gets the nod at safety with Hooker. Maybe its a toss up, both secondaries should be really good units.
I wonder how bad ISU would have to be for Iowa to drop the series with them (which would be best for us) I'm still of the mindset our non conference games need a boost and ISU being as mediocre and strait up as bad as they often are does us no good. They need us but they do nothing for us. Lots of other schools can provide us with what they do. We need games that help us look good for when we win or lose. Not look bad or indifferent either way...
If how ISU does the rest of the way matters for us to get in the playoff I suppose I'd care about how they do then. But as it sits I take joy in watching them suck. I don't wish for their success overall. OK can destroy them and they can go on to be terrible this year and I'd be down with that.
