Clowns just flat getting whipped

Virginia is probably thee worst matchup for ISU. Kansas, UNC and Oklahoma are some teams that I would consider better than Virginia but are examples of teams that ISU matchup better with.

Heck... I'd be interested in ISU vs Wisconsin or Notre Dame... Those may even be teams that would be a difficult matchup for ISU.

Not trying to hate on ISU but they lost to West Virginia twice this year as well. I just don't think they handle a slowed down tempo defensive minded teams well.

I'm a season ticket holder and I didn't even watch the game because I didn't think the Clones had a chance. UVA was the one team in the whole country that I wanted no part of. Not only are they very good but, as mentioned, it's a horrible matchup.

I appreciate you agreeingwith my opinion but not watch the game???

I felt Nova was a bad matchup for the Hawks but there was no way I wasn't gonna watch!!

The Iowa state coach said his main focus is on recruiting. I don't think they will be as good next year. I thought they were probably around 20 to 30 in the country this year with an injury away from having a terrible year.

Niang had 4 fouls in the 1st half alone and only 2 were called. Any bad calls evened out and the (far) better team won.

Uh, no. Where do you come up with that? The degree and frequency with which Clones beatch about the refs is leaps and bounds over anything you find here.

Observation over the years I've been on this site. Many games we lose, there are threads ripping the refs. I will admit that I never go over to the Clones' site so I don't know the frequency they whine about calls but we can hold our own with anyone in that regard I'm afraid.

And I've ripped the refs myself when we lose so I'm not holier-than-thou on this.

Watch the play. It's on Youtube. He got the arm and got it pretty good on the way up. I questioned it last night, but saw it this morning and it was definitely a foul.

I finally made time to find the video of it. He didn't touch his arm on the way up at all. Could maybe call body on the start of the drive but when the whistle came on the way up I don't know how you could say that was a definitely a foul. His undercut on Gill was a foul but this was a bad call

You mean sort of like the take of Hawk fans on this site whenever we lose a non-blowout game? Just keeping it real.

That said, there were a couple of bad calls vs. ISU in that game but they would have lost anyway.
I generally stay away from the board after a close loss, but I personally did not blame the refs for a close loss this year. Not once. I may have blamed coaching or just terrible execution, and lack of a true leader with ability to take control late, but never the refs. Not to say there wasn't bad calls, but heck there are bad calls every game. Sometimes it's a little over the top especially some games in years past I've seen against MSU.

Bad calls against the other team certainly didn't hurt us vs. Temple either.

Don't think for a second if Temple's big had pushed Woodbury in the back to put in the game-winner against us there wouldn't have been a thread or two about how bad the officiating was.

Glad though that the call wasn't made vs. Woody ;).
