Clowns just flat getting whipped

Niang could have been called for undercutting the player that landed on his back earlier in the 2nd half. That is the thing with selectively picking out one call out of many, you fail to account for ones the refs let a player get by with. If anything is to blame it was the ISU defense and defensive rebounding, it could not keep the VA big guys off the glass.

The officiating in this tournament has been very, very poor. I say that because many calls/no calls have an official RIGHT there, staring at the play. I'm not taking Clown's side in this. As I didn't watch the whole game. But there are times in every game that lead me to believe the fix is in. There's no other reasonable explanation for what we're seeing, game in and game out.

Shouldn't matter as Niang should've been called for the foul before the shot was even taken. And not to mention undercutting Gill in front of the ref. Or the countless travels not called on him.

I was watching the game with a ISU buddy at a bar. In the booth behind us was your typical Clown hillbilly screaming at the refs the entire game. He thought he was in Hilton or something, it was annoying as crap.

Trying to say the refs cost you in that game is just ignorant Clown crap. That game was dominated start to finish by Virginia. At no point did I ever think ISU actually has a shot of winning. As a matter of fact my ISU buddy called it after Virginia's hot start, he said it was over after the first 5 min., and he was right.

How bad is your D, when you make Virginia look like a run and gun offensive team? I mean how many times did Virginia dunk on ISU? They made that Tobey guy look like an All American. Heck, I think Virginia just dunked again....

And thank you Doug Gottlieb for chiming in......

Gottlieb posted a picture of George getting all ball. However, George got all arm all of the way up and when the guy's arm straightened out (which pulled his elbow away from George), it became all ball. It was the correct call.

That 4th foul was a pretty terrible call, I don't know how you could think it was correct. He should have picked one up earlier when he undercut Gill though so it's a moot point. Virginia looked really good but ISU's first half defense is what cost them

Exactly my point.

Watch the play. It's on Youtube. He got the arm and got it pretty good on the way up. I questioned it last night, but saw it this morning and it was definitely a foul.

Clowns didn't lose. The ref's stole the game from them. Multiple threads at cyfan prove it.

You mean sort of like the take of Hawk fans on this site whenever we lose a non-blowout game? Just keeping it real.

That said, there were a couple of bad calls vs. ISU in that game but they would have lost anyway.

You got a link to it? I don't know how someone would want officials to call ticky tack fouls throughout the game like that. That's why the beginning of the year games can be brutal because they call it tight

I did not watch either game, but it is always great with the clowns and bad-gers lose! May those programs rot in the ash heap for 100 years!

The story of the game really wasn't 1 questionable foul call.

Even if Niang didn't have foul trouble, ISU wasn't winning that game. I thought the story of the game was going to be Virginias D but it was probably more of the lack of D on ISU's part.

When it comes to a shot, if a defensive player affects that shot by hitting the arm, you have to call it. Clemmons for instance 100% fouled the Temple shooter on that last shot for them. I haven't seen the replay yet, but if Niang rakes the arm on the way up then it is a foul.

This is why it was a foul. It wasn't a violent foul, but he made shot-altering contact to the arm throughout the shot until the shooter extended before release. It was without question a foul.

VA just way too much for the ketch and must. State of Iowa bows out.

No story here. 6th place Big 12 team gets *** kicked by a legitimate NCAA title contender. End of story. ISU was down 24-5 before I blinked twice. OFFICIATING? NOT A FACTOR.

Where's the Youtube link, I can't find it

Uh, no. Where do you come up with that? The degree and frequency with which Clones beatch about the refs is leaps and bounds over anything you find here.
