Clowns just flat getting whipped

put on the last two minutes of the virginia game and you'll see the reason why NO COACH should ever play not to lose ball.
 
Virginia is probably thee worst matchup for ISU. Kansas, UNC and Oklahoma are some teams that I would consider better than Virginia but are examples of teams that ISU matchup better with.

Heck... I'd be interested in ISU vs Wisconsin or Notre Dame... Those may even be teams that would be a difficult matchup for ISU.

Not trying to hate on ISU but they lost to West Virginia twice this year as well. I just don't think they handle a slowed down tempo defensive minded teams well.

Completely agree. I only picked ISU to win 1 game because I didn't expect Purdue to lose. ISU struggles with big men and defensive teams and Purdue would have had their number instead it was Virginia. And Look what players played big against them the big guys.

His 4th actual foul or the fourth that they called? He had about 12 fouls. It's like he was daring them to call fouls for some reason. Maybe it was because he didn't want to play with a bunch of schmucks that can't score or defend anymore. Maybe he was tired and wishing he was back in the Big 12 or playing a double-digit seed against teams that don't play defense. Maybe his moobs were chaffing. I don't know.

Either way, I don't think they were going to beat Syracuse. The team that has given them the most trouble the past 2 years is Baylor, who has beaten them with a similar defense. Defense>Magic.
 
The ISU Register has an article about Niang's 4th foul. Pathetic. In there defense, I can't believe George got close enough to a Virginia player 4 times.

I was going to clown(no pun intended) ISU for giving up 84 points to Virginia......Then I remembered that Iowa wasn't exactly great defensively. I took a peak at the def. effiency numbers and Iowa is a lockdown defensive unit compared to ISU.

Reality: Iowa finish was disappointing but they probably met pre season expectations. UNI has a exceeded expectations.
ISU was a trendy pick to compete for a Big 12 title and make a final four run. They were out of the Big 12 race early. They finished in the middle of the pack. They lost in the first round of their conference tournament. They some how got a better seed than Baylor after losing to them twice. They got a gift with a 4 seed. They got to play Iona and Little Rock to advance to the sweet 16. The one true NCAA tourney team they played, kicked their butt. ISU was NEVER in that game. ISU wonder kids lost 12 games.
