You laugh at the SEC but Iowa would be Missouri in that conference and you know it. And Tennessee and South Carolina who are both bad would rout this team in a bowl game...again.

Probably not. Depends what the rest of the country does. Football is fluid. But if we're going to throw out absolutes then I will too:
The 6th best team in the B1G is better than a CUSA division leader.

So what the posters are saying is, Iowa State has a chance to win 4 games for the first time in 5 years. Let them have their day. They are in uncharted territory.

Unfortunately this doesn't surprise me. We beat them head to head but it looked to me like they were faster and had good size. I didn't think Campbell would turn that dumpster fire around this quickly. Fortunately if they are relevant it only helps our schedule, because they're not going any where.
OSU lost to OU too, and they are ranked higher.

I forgot the Heisman QB was MIA. Couldn't get his shat together to play a very big game. Hmmmmm sounds suspect. Good for the clowns being ranked. It happens once every 20 years or so. Lots of ball to be played and they probably got more yardage out of losing to Iowa in OT than what we got beating them in OT.

Yes they did beat osu but I really don't think those flag planting okies want a rematch. OSU is rolling now. The okies.......not so much. After all they are calling the clown game against the okies the worst defeat in history for the soooooooners. Let that sink in.

I don't know who you are talking to but I'll take a stab at it. I wasn't talking about Mayfield I was talking about Park you know the Heisman trophy guy.
OMG that game was worse then the score too. I saw a little of it. More than I'd care to admit.
Rankings are such a tough thing. To try and quantify how good ISU is for beating OK at their place is just tough to do. Trying to figure out how good Iowa is isn't easy either we haven't beaten anyone of significance but gave PSU a fight to the last snap. If Iowa would have beaten MSU say convincingly I'd say heck yes put us up there. But I dunno this Iowa team can beat just about anyone and lose to just about anyone so I'm not going to get bent out of shape at where we are ranked in the middle of the year. I'll let it play out more before getting bent out of shape about it.

1. ISU getting ranked is the best thing that could happen to Iowa.
2. The B1G West divisions perception matters 0%. If you can be good in the West - you'll be ranked - highly even. And have an inside track the Playoffs. This is NOT a bad thing for Iowa, this is a very very ...and I mean very - great thing for Iowa. Love being in the WEST if you're a Hawkeye fan. You've got nothing to apologize for. See Wisconsin
3. Iowa wins Saturday - you'll see them back in the top 25 because of our SOS, which is high because Iowa has played a lot of above average football teams so far.
