Are you changing your point that the B1G West is the worst P5 division or just couldn't hold the jocks of the vaunted SEC East powerhouses that put together a 15-9 game that set football back 75 years?

The ISU win on the road now looks better, if you ask me. Like it or not, their new coach has them playing well. He'll probably bolt soon, but that doesn't change the fact he has them playing really well. They could contend for upper half of big 12 and make a bowl.
 
Again, being in the WEST isn't something for Iowa to be ashamed of or apologize for. Celebrate it - you are in a division that is incredibly set up for you to compete in. What more could you ask for? When the B1G split and added with expansion - Iowa won in that whole deal. Why would you WANT to be in one of these other divisions that is stacked up against your success?

Because, Because, Because ... then KF wouldn't be able to cash a 4.5M paycheck and not want to win more than 7 games.

The KF hate is so engrained in a loud small group that can't enjoy Iowa's success or look at the team objectively.

Did anyone watch the ISU v Kansas game on TV? A huge number of empty seats. Your team just came off a huge win and because of some rain you stay home and leave that many empty seats??? Even the student section looked half empty on tv.

Ya know that works 2 ways. It's impossible to have a real discussion about KF. Most people are slightly positive or slightly negative about KF. The vocal detractors and even more so the vocal die hard supporters make that conversation in real terms about impossible.

Some can't look at the success for sure, but others can't look at the failures and or disappointments either.

I was actually pleasantly surprised by the number of people that were there. Weather was horrible, and with the rain delay, it made the whole experience pretty lackluster.

I will say people started checking out very early too - a lot of people left mid-third quarter. I'll never rip on people who choose to spend an afternoon standing in the rain, and to the people that were there at 11:00 AM for a torrential downpour, good on them.

I think they'll lose, but I don't think it has anything to do with last year, I think ISU and Texas Tech are very similar teams in terms of quality and it's on the road.

The Massey ratings combine something like 70 ratings systems, they have Iowa at 22 and ISU at 34. Conferences Big 10 3rd and Big 12 5th, but if you look at most ratings this year the conferences are very, very close in terms of quality.

I am a die hard supporter and I ABSOLUTELY can look at it and have a real conversation. Let's do it. 2012 was a garbage season. A lot of staff turnover - The rest of 10 years or so of Iowa football has been average or above it.

No. It's not impossible to have a real discussion about KF. It is impossible to have a real discussion about KF with KF haters.

And you're wrong. I've read KF supporters say the losses to poor teams is indefensible.

KF haters can't give Iowa props for their big upsets because Iowa loses to teams they shouldn't or Iowa should be there where they are anyway. Or Iowa doesn't play sexy PS4 football.

I was vocal in wanting him gone after four seasons of being +1 overall after the '14 season.

But 2015 and 2016 really did happen. Sorry haters, they did.

I've never really looked into computer rankings. No idea how accurate it is, but wanted a point of reference to see if the teams were considered equal/similar by computers. Not sure even why I searched for CFB RPI. Just ready for basketball I guess. ;)

Not sure I completely agree or disagree. Say anything negative and Deanno starts swearing at you. I did say both sides make it difficult. I do think the militant supporters are a bit bigger in numbers. Most are in the middle.

No I think the West is the worst P5 conference. I am not perpetuating any myth about the SEC. I simply think that if you had the chance to hypothetically choose your division every team in the P5 would pick the Big10 West. I don't know why that bothers you so much I just wanted you to explain why you feel otherwise.

I don't feel anything about it. I'm the one who said You're the one all bent out of shape about Iowa playing in the worst P5 conference. Iowa would be Missouri in the SEC.

Missouri? ROFL!
 
They just beat Oklahoma on the road and we've yet to have a quality win. I'd put them ahead of us at this point, too. Hopefully that'll change by the end of the season.
