image won't fit in the screen. you can see that his left knee appears to be fine!![]()
Yep, we saw it in their Twitter pic from Thursday.has a knee brace on his left knee....![]()
I don't think the season hinges on it, they will play the games with or without CJ.I am glad this is haha funny. Nothing against Wiegers, imo, the season hinges on CJB's health. Or maybe I am just stating the obvious.
I don't think the season hinges on it, they will play the games with or without CJ.If he goes down, people will have to step up...I am confident (with this team and this schedule) that they could go 9-3 without CJ. People put too much blame on JR in 14 and give CJ too much credit for 15. QB play was pretty much the same those 2 years, it was the run game and the defense (especially the defense) that was the difference.
I know what the differences in the 2 QB's is, do you? Oh, I forgot, ones better than the other and that's the difference, right? lol. The Iowa coaches new they had 2 really good QB's but you knew one of them was better because??? Oh, he had to be better than JR, because folks like yourself always anoint someone else better if the starter loses a game. You bozo's never give up, do you? Tell me in great detail what the difference in the 2 QB's was....I can't wait to hear this, lol...........I'm surprised someone with your vast football knowledge can't recognize the difference between the two quarterbacks.

Better arm...etc..bahaha. Spoken like a true clown who thinks he knows something by repeating what sports announcer say. What does 'better arm' mean, lol? JR was better at pre-snap reads (CJ has gotten better but was way behind in 2014), JR was better at going through progressions (CJ would get chewed out constantly in practice being slow with his progressions), JR was more accurate (he had a much higher completion percentage in both 14 and 15)..etc. CJ had 2 main advantages (one which is huge with Davis and Davis has talked about it since he came to Iowa), that being keeping plays alive with his feet! He does a great job of moving in the pocket and keeping his eyes down field (This was JR's biggest shortcoming) and he has a quick release (he doesn't have anymore arm strength or a 'better arm' or 'tight windows', lol)............And Jethro, how you managed to cipher what Davis said to mean, 'CJ had to be quite a bit better..etc...' from that statement is hilarious. So your brilliant cognition tells you that CJ was quite a bit better in 2014 but the coaches didn't play him even knowing that? Bahaha.... You are hilarious. No, what he meant, Einstein (and he went into more detail in other statements as did KF), was that they were 'neck and neck' at the end of the season, but they decided to give the job to CJ, mainly because of his ability to keep plays alive, and that they weren't going to juggle and question week to week who the starter would be. He meant that even if JR was a little bit better in practice (remember, they were neck and neck) it wouldn't be enough to supplant CJ as the starter....he would have to execute 'way' better in practice for that to happen.....good grief. Embarrassment is a 'good' emotion....don't you ever experience it? Or know what to do when you do? You should, it would benefit you greatly.........Greg Davis told Rudock that he could still compete for the starting job but he will have to be quite a bit better because CJ is the guy now. That means CJ had to be quite a bit better than Jake to take the job from him, which he was and which he did.
The fact is that the running game was better because with CJ you had to respect the deep ball. You can't just play in a phone booth like defenses did against Jake. JR was a solid QB when the play went as designed and someone was open. That's why Michigan was good for him. At Iowa, we have less talent at WR, so you have to be able to improvise. CJ obviously was very good at this. We can argue about Xs and Os, but the one thing you absolutely cannot argue with is the leadership of CJ. Everyone has said it. He was the leader, he drove people to do more. That team would do anything for him because they knew he would do anything for them. I did not see that level of leadership from JR. To me that was one of the major differences between 12-0 and 8-4. So I guess I'm in the "give CJ too much credit crowd".I don't think the season hinges on it, they will play the games with or without CJ.If he goes down, people will have to step up...I am confident (with this team and this schedule) that they could go 9-3 without CJ. Well, DJL, that is not a 'fact'. That is an OPINION 'not necessarily based in fact or knowledge' (definition of an opinion)...The run game was better for many different reasons (RB personnel, line play, scheme changes, etc..) You don't believe teams didn't respect the 'deep ball' in 2014? Lol. It looked like they covered our deep routes to me? Lol. They didn't let those receivers 'go' and all run to the line of scrimmage, lol.......I don't know why people get this 'opinion', because I checked back in April and JR actually attempted and completed more passes of 30 yds. or longer in 2014 than CJ did in 2015....And a little 'fact' you guys don't seem to know or get, is that Jake got hurt in the Pittsburgh game, and played hobbled pretty much the rest of the year, thus limiting his mobility. He was healthy again at Michigan and ran for 4 TD's and actually led the team in rushing in a WIN against Indiana. Everyone has said that JR was a great 'silent' leader also (Iowa players and coaches as well as Harbaugh and Michigan players)...Yes, CJ is a good leader also, but I fear you're confusing being 'popular' with being a leader as CJ is a 'rock star' and way more popular with almost everyone....How would YOU see ANY level of leadership from JR without being in the locker room, on the practice field, etc.etc.....??? I think you're reading WAY too much into a couple things, but that's just my opinion...........The fact is that the running game was better because with CJ you had to respect the deep ball.
