CJ Fredrick health?

Any body got any news on CJ's ankle? I'am hoping not to serious as the bench is really getting thin. Also think if he would have been on the floor late 2nd. half CJ would have helped with defense on Brockington who carried PSU late in the game. Any info appreciated!

He injured it before the game, tried to give it a go and wasn’t right. I noticed him limping a few times.

Ankles are tricky.

We have a teleconference with FM tomorrow morning, when we should get an update.

I wonder if the floor conditions had something to do with it.

It must have been humid in the Palestra, and poorly ventilated. If the humidity is high relative to the temperature you're going to have condensation.

I've noticed it in my garage and other garages the past two weeks. It doesn't have to be mid summer. Moist air hitting that cold concrete garage floor will cause it to get slick. That's probably what happened in the Palestra yesterday. Too much moisture in a packed house for a cool playing surface

If he tried to give it a go and couldn't, i wouldn't be surprised if he misses a couple games. Like Luka last year.

Depending on the severity of his ankle injury, there is a little bit of wiggle room. @Nebraska, Maryland, @NW. You could sit him for 2 weeks and come out of it at 2-1. Watching Wisconsin take out OSU on the road, when OSU was missing a key player doesn't make me think it is that simple, however.

Yes, you could see him limping in the first half. Plus he was 0-4 in the first half from the field. Usually you can count on him scoring with Joe W and Luka so it really hurt not having him at full strength. Joe T made up for it a bit but it wasn't the same.

Near the end of the first half, he was noticeably limping

It was painful to watch

He tried to ignore it but couldn't after a while

He kept looking at the bench wanting to come out, I believe

He knew he couldn't keep up with the Penn State quickness

Penn State is constructed similar to the DePaul team that smashed us two months ago, only they didn't hit their threes like DePaul did.

Those types of teams are going to be our biggest Achilles heel, yet we still had a shot at the end.

Depth at the wing was my biggest fear for this team. Team just isn’t deep enough to overcome injuries to CJ or Joe.

Man we missed him against PSU. He gave it a go but just couldn't. Having had him at 100% it's impossible to think we couldn't have won that. Feels like this team is held together with duct tape. Credit to Fran that's a game we shouldn't have won. You know how pissed PSU would have been if they lost to Iowa with all the attrition we have going. Credit Fran the dude is coaching his tail off. May not get as much credit for it but so far he sure as hell has been doing a great job.

Wow, I really feel bad for CJ Frederick. Sitting out last year must have been hard. Now he has to spend more time on the bench. I hope that it doesn’t turn into a stress fracture and he can get some more quality games in this year. We need him as a second shooter.

From what I watched last night he needs to be our number one outside option

I know what BuzzedIowa gonna say if I said the leg injury is hard to heal. I don't care! I know you're just the biggest drunk on the board. It's just not funny anymore, the leg injury!

So Connor had the flu and another Hawk site is reporting that Garza's dad tweeted that Luka played the Nebraska game while fighting a fever as well.
