Yeah, of course. But on the other hand, he can create. We are in desperate need of someone who can create. Ego in HS is one thing....there are many who have it. As long as its tempered a bit in college, it can help. Confidence is something that is scarce in this team right now, maybe he can bring a little to the table.
 
Who cares if he hot dogs it? I'd take the kid if he had a Charlie Sheen-type attitude at this point for this team.

Thats not a bad thing bc he makes his shots. If he was doing all this stuff and not making the baskets Id have a problem with it. Also something that you see on a bunch of actual game footage(not highlight tapes) is how much he dishes the ball.

Also, he has a youtube video of him as a freshman that has over 800k views. If I had that kind of attention as a freshman I would be playing with some wicked swag as well.

He definitely has a swagger about him. But that is something I want in a point guard. He will need to learn to finish with his left hand and looks a bit small but he has a nice looking shot and can put the ball exactly where it needs to be. Along with the fact he likes to get up and down the court.
 
I don't think Fran is going to bring in many jerks. He sent Salter home.

God, I love the looks of this kid. A little Deano, a little Carfino, and perhaps a little of his coach, White Magic.

Whether or not we get him, we're in for some fun times in Carver before long.

I read somewhere that his actual height is 5'10".

When you are shorter you need to be really quick and have a fast release, both of which are attributes he posesses.

If its not a problem for Kansas, I dont know why it would be for us.
 
Of course, this is a highlight tape but I like what I saw. Not too worried about the kid having a little swagger. In fact, I think that would be a nice addition (in modest amounts) ... Let's hope we can land this kid ...
 
Sweet Video ..if the Hawks can land him or Carter with White I would call it a good class for Fran. Cezar is my favorite though.
 
I believe Deano was listed at 5'11", which probably means he was about 5'9". You ever see him up close in person? No way he was taller than 5'9" or 5'10". Cezar looks about the same as Dean. 5'11" or 6 foot on paper, which translates to about 5'9" in real life. Anyway, who cares? Anything under 6 feet for super quick point guards is all sort of the same. Unless your Little Lick, but then see my super quick qualifier.
 
I feel like you guys are mistaking a premadonna with a cultural difference. CeZar has a lot of Mexican pride and what I call latin flare. I would love to see him at Iowa. Sounds like he's a competitor and very talented.

You beat me to it. I was going to say exactly the same thing. I like a kid with confidence and I really don't care if he is 5' whatever, he can push the ball and make passes. Lets hope we get a shot when he reschedules his visit.
 
The hotdogging is my only concern with this kid. I'm okay with confidence, in fact I'd covet that, especially from a point guard. Just some of the stuff he does gets on my nerves a little bit. But all in all a very talented player, and if he's willing to tone it down, I'd be glad to have him.
