Storm if you don't mind me asking why is it you would prefer Carter over the other two? I work seven days a week and obviously don't have the time to keep up on some of these recruits so I get on the forums looking for insight from posters like you. Also, what do you think our chances are with Carter?
I can only comment about Eli from what I have been told by other guys who follow recruiting for a living... I have not seen any of his games myself. I've seen some videos, but those don't help a lot.
Cezar is more the true PG than Eli. He takes more risks in his games, but get rewarded more. Eli is at Brewster now, so he is playing against top competition and playing with other D1 recruits, something Cezar is not. Eli has teammates heading to Pitt, Villanova, Kansas, etc... Also, the fact that he is at a prep school is allowing him to develop his game a bit more. Eli is a little taller than Cezar as well, and has more muscle/size too. Eli is more of slasher and can get to the rim, but can also hit the trey at a high %. Also is a better defender from what I have been told. Cezar is a better passer, better ball handler and prob would beat Eli 1-on-1.
I like the complete package of Carter, he just recently started to get serious about basketball so he likely has a higher ceiling as well.
Again, just my opinion based on the opinions of several guys that scout for a living.
Any one of the three would be huge for Iowa.
Personally, I don't know the odds of landing any of them. I've never been good at that game. When Jon Leuer was going to commit, I had word from a coach up in the cities he was coming to Iowa. 15 min later he committed to Wisconsin over the Hawkeyes. So, yeah...
