Just win baby. Make the tickets cheaper for students. Give them free or cheaper food. You gotta bribe not only the raucous students to come but the rest of us until the team is a draw in and of itself. Unfortunatly Iowa fans aren't the type to pack the place at 8 pm on a random Tuesday in January when playing Rutgers in a meaningless game when the weather is total crap... It's too bad that that the PR folks in Iowa City can't get a little more creative but their getting what they put in...

I am in the blue hair category, age-wise. However, though my hair is not blue, I am more than grateful to have a minimal amount of hair on my head. Grows faster on my ears and eyebrows. But: I sit around 3 or 4 other blue hairs and I don't think any of you young folk want to try to match our excitement, loud yelling, constant bashing of the officials, standing up when the crowd really gets into the game, and never leaving until the final buzzer.
BTW: As an honorary "blue hair" I am blessed with an aisle seat, dead even with the center line, and 25 rows up.
And no, I am not a big donor, just a long time season ticket holder.

Sadly no, Barta gave them all multi million dollar buyout clauses.
Their probably 21 yr old lesbian females that are confused about which bathroom to use because they aren't sure what they 'identify' as and this is Barta's way of making good on his previous fiasco that should have gotten him fired.

How about the pep band plays better and more updated songs. Seems like thy have been playing the same tunes since the 80's. Maybe we could give Fran a mic and he can sing......"Who let the Hawks out" Remember Alford when he did that? Do teams still do the Mid Night Madness open practice right before the season started? I recall we did a couple under Alford and they were fun
How about during a time out in each home game they do a "who can do an angry Fran impersonation." Have 3 contestants come out on the court, have someone dressed as a ref and each contestant screams and yells at them. Winner get's a $5 dollar gift card to McDonalds
