not sure about MSU they have to start with a new QB, teams will not have the advantage of not having to prepare for the Hawks, Davis will have 5th year senior at QB to work with, and its not like we have not had to start with a new rb, personnally i am excited to see Garmon play 6'1 4.4 40, i can't remember the last rb for Iowa with that size and speed, and by the Videos i have seen he can catch the ball, with Davis being cited for throwing the ball on swing that out to create some problems for teams that are used to Iowa running on 1st down, Davis is 5th year 4* WR and should have a good if not great year under Soup. CJF will be a solid player at TE and a major target for JVB which he really didn't have or use last season to convert 3rd downs.
the defense will have bigger D-Linemen that will be young and eager to impress and will be backed up by a healthy and experienced linebacker group from side to side, the DB will have Law and Lowery to go with Miller and the SR Hyde. all in all the defense looks to be solid but young across the front 4, and if the starters are who i hope they are, we will lose just 1 sr off the defense, 3 at most
as for the 3 OL we lose we do not have that hard a schedule for the ol to gel as a unit in time for the BT season, same with the D.
a 8-5 to 10-3 season will be very do able and not that outlandish for exspectations
