BTN's Top 5 QBs from the past 5 years.

Can't wait for this dudes top 5 DE's of the BTN era

1.Some Dude
2. Random Guy
3. Joe Blow
4. John Doe
5. Sparty

Honorable mention: Adrian Clayborn

He found the best way to generate more comments and hits on his article after he left Greene off the top 5 RB list. Ringer was also legit top 5 on that list imo.

hahahaha

you forgot Exene Cervenka and DJ Bonebrake

Greene was on a 8-4 / 9-4 team that won the outback bowl.

Wilson's team won the Big Ten championship.

Sure, one year players are "eligible". But do you REALLY believe Russell Wilson is the #2 QB in the BTN Era?

I'd take him over just about any QB to have played in the Big Ten, including Stanzi. Pryor is the only one in the conversation with Wilson, IMO. Same way I feel about Greene.

Anyone who doesn't think Pryor should be #1 is an idiot. That is all.

Prior may very well be the most talented on the list. That being said, you sound like an a-hole with the "anyone who doesn't agree with me is an idiot" crap.

Grow up kid. That is all.. and more.

Actually the reason his announcement to transfer to Wisconsin was such a big deal was because it was thought at the time that Wisconsin was a National Title Contender team missing a legitimate starting D1 Qb. Since a D1 QB who had started for 3 years at a previous school became their QB it was news because he was all they needed to make a title run. It was big news because they had a dominant oline, dominant running game, very talented defense, just didn't have an even mediocre starting qb. So now its news because they do have an at least mediocre starting qb with all those other pieces I mentioned. Wilson had a great year last year. Stanzi had a better career on teams with worse offenses. Some of which can be blamed on him, some of which can't.

You are an idiot. Truly.

Wilson set the all time record for QB rating for NCAA Division I quarterbacks. He had a 33/4 TD/int ratio. That is incredible. He's also a role model and a hard worker. Check out what he's doing with the Seahawks since you're so knowledgeable about sports. By any metric one chooses to use he was phenomenal. He had great success at 2 different schools. He would have been the #1 draft pick if he was 6'3"

Best QBs - did the most with what they had. Forget records, vacated wins, bowls, etc... Who was the BEST quarterback?

1. Dan Persa
2. Russell Wilson
3. Ricky Stanzi
4. Kirk Cousins
5. Terelle Pryor

Stanzi doesn't belong on this list. He led the country in interceptions and pick sixes his junior year...and the ONLY reason we had a great year was because he played with one of the best defenses in Iowa history. His senior year, he failed to make a game winning drive to secure his spot on this list 4 times...and don't tell me about the defense giving up late leads...all Stanzi needed were first downs to save those wins and we failed time and time again. He just doesn't measure up.

Leaving Greene off the RB list...well, that's a down right travesty. He may have been the best player in the country at any position that year.

Pryor had THEE best tats of the top five.

Haha he does have some good ink

I wasn't that impressed with Daryl Clark either. Dan Persa was better then half of those QB's as well. Joke.

Dan Persa was better than all those QBs listed really.

Wilson was a better runner and had a stronger arm but Persa was a more accurate passer and asked to do allot more.

Agree on both counts, Stanzi through the first 7 games of his senior year was as good as anyone on the list, probably better, then he completely fell apart and was awful his last 6 games including the bowl.

Before that in 08, 09 he has some really good moments and allot of bad ones that he got bailed out of.

Leaving Greene off the RB list is asinine considering he should have been #1 on it.

Im honestly not crazy about any of the guys on the QB list. We know what Prior and Robinson are, runners who can't throw but they are effective.

Darly Clark? ehh.

Cousins was a good QB but nothing special allot like Stanzi, more consistent but not as good when he was on either.

Wilson is Brad Banks with a stronger arm, hes a good QB but having the best Oline and running game in the country makes life a piece of cake.

Persa was more accurate? Really? You gonna stick with that argument?

Wilson has the NCAA Division I record for QB rating and passing efficiency.

Next.

Oh great, badger's back. I suppose you're here to tell us how "elite" wisconsin's football program is now.

I don't think I really need to tell you anything. I think 5 Rose Bowls in 20 years, back-to-back BIG titles, multiple NFL draft picks the last few seasons says enough. Or check out the ESPN cover story currently up right now if you'd rather hear it from another source

Great time to be a sports fan in Wisconsin.
