Davis only ran a few drills still battling injury. Kmart has had some drops. Staggs has redshirt on.
K-Mart made a great "hands" catch along sidelines.
Shumpert beat secondary deep but showed terrible technique, jumping for the ball and falling..if he kept running through that ball-it would have been a TD.

Lowery and Law look like beasts.
Duzey had a nice catch...Shumpert will be a deep threat--jst needs to catch it.

Yeah..... I dont think Ruddock is clear cut 2nd string.

Ruddock was teh gratest player in Florida HS history. If he can't grasp teh offense, it's a crappy offense. Bring back KOK.

I think Rudock will be fine. Love his throwing motion. Keep in mind Sokol is a couple years older and has 2 more years of game experience. This is a nice problem to have....depth at QB. I can't believe JVB is so shaky today and has had some sacks. Don't be surprised if he fails again this year on the road. Probably 0% chance Kirk gives these other two a chance.
Blitzing a very green OLine is a good way to go.

Vandenberg does not have competition for the starting spot, and that's the way it should be. I have never seen so many people frequently call out a QB who completed just under 60 percent of his passes, threw for over 3000 yards, and had a 25:7 TD:INT ratio in his first year as a starter. That is one of the top 5 statistical seasons for a QB in Iowa history!

Was just saying he looked extremely shaky and not that he was in danger of losing his starting position.
