Brandon Wegher - Sick numbers at Morningside

I last heard of this kid because he and his brother were training at some kind of super expensive "performance academy" that was going to turn them both into half-man-half-machine super-athletes like something out of a comic book movie.

All it takes is one scout of a team to like what they see. I don't think he's the biggest RB but he's just an athlete. The things he did in HS were just nuts. He trained like no other. He's not the first or last college kid to knock up his gf and have it take his life a different direction.

Roster lists him at 5'11" / 210. Would be interesting to see where he would be if he were Doyalized. Maybe 6'2"!

For comparison sake, Herbert "Whisper" Goodman ran for over 2000 yards in a ten game season at the NAIA level. He got signed to the packers where he fumbled twice in 4 career carries.

Tallest midget in the room. But he has a shot and I do wish him well.

Good memories of the Orange Bowl, and "Wegher Bombs"...

Many, many college athletes have children while in college. I just assume there is much more to the story.

Former NFL running back Travis Henry needed a travel agent to keep track of where all his kids were. Of course once the drugs took over he was able to fly to visit them.

Henry had 3 children by the time he left college and ended up with 9 kids with 9 mothers. You do have to give him credit for being loyal.

It is so weird that Whegher and Coker are still playing this year.

Next thing someone is going to tell me that A-Rob and Hampton are still playing somewhere, which has got to be impossible, right? There is some rule that you have to use your eligibilty in 6 years or its gone, right?

Hampton is playing somewhere. San Francisco. http://www.nfl.com/player/jewelhampton/2533546/profile

A-Rob hasn't played one down since leaving Iowa and going to North Dakota State (D-II). Tore his Achilles tendon last fall and hasn't even suited up since.

Coker transferred to Stony Brook (FCS). Hasn't played a whole lot. Was in a motorcycle accident last spring; a car turned left in front of him.

You mean at this place.

Is the OP using the vernacular meaning of the word "sick", like "OMG THAT IS SO SICK....." while watching snowboarding highlights set to metal music on espn2, or is he using the dictionary definition, like the players at Morningside are getting some kind of disease from exposure to Wegher?

Hampton made it to the NFL. He had talent but two knee injuries at Iowa. Dont know if he was mad at Iowa for not getting more carries but give him credit after the transfer for rehabbing and doing well.

Not sure if he is still a pro, I think he was with the 49ers to start this year.

Hampton > Wegher
