And their coach hides their guns.Players in Lincoln found in this condition get a free ride home from the cops.
And the players bribe the cops with game tickets. Just like Robby Benson in the 1970's basketball movie "One on One"Players in Lincoln found in this condition get a free ride home from the cops.
I do know at 2:44 am there's only a couple reasons why I'd be awake and walking around from bar to bar wouldn't be one of them.
I would agree with all that maybe even a higher % thankfully Years ago wasn't their a big to do over how the cops were singling out football players they recognized? Is that grilled cheese stand in the Ped Mall still open? That and Taco Bell were my favorite spots downtown at 2:44 AM, but if someone was sober enough to drive us to Village Inn or if we could find a taxi, then Village Inn was my go to spot. Probably 80% of the people at any of those locations could have received a public intox, but back then the cops usually reserved it for people who were looking to fight or who were passed out drunk. I presume it's still the same way.
Man. Come on. He ain't driving. He ain't causing any problems. Find the kid his uber and get him home. That's absurd.I don't know if it's a big deal or not, but it seems funny ...

When Reiff noticed there was a rider sitting in the passenger seat, police said he moved to the back door and attempted to open it.
When asked what he was doing, police said Reiff asked for a ride home. “He thought that was our job,” the police report states.
When asked if he thought the vehicle was an Uber, police said Reiff replied “Yes.”
I knew it. Effin ICPD. He was doing the responsible thing.I don't know if it's a big deal or not, but it seems funny ...

This is absolutely false.I can attest that you have to TRY to get a pub intox. Reiff pulled it off.
Exactly. He's of age and did the responsible thing in trying to get an Uber. Daddy Kirk isn't "pleased" though, so he's probably gonna have to clean some stairwells with a toothbrush or something.Funny story for grandkids, but serious offense? I think not. Not driving, of legal age, cops could have cut him a break but I realize cops don't do that anymore. If I had 10 bucks for every time cops told me and my friends to go home and if anyone was sober enough to drive I could buy a PlayStation. It's all so serious now. Glad I grew up in the 80's.
