Brady Ernst

Anybody catch his highlight video? He won a jump ball against a 6' 2" guard. To top it off, a miss reverse slam at the end. Impressive!

Even those d!pshit Clown fans can't actually think this is a good signing, can they? Bryce, Mj4cy, other ISU fans speak up. What say you on this first Prohm signing???

Nobody is excited by it. Prohm said they needed practice bodies and that is true. That's what he will be.

I don't expect him to ever contribute on the court but am still okay with it just due to the sheer volume of scholarships they have open. I'm assuming tsalbo is gone. That's still probably at least 6 open for next season.

If by some miracle he ever contributes I tip my cap to him.

If he needs "practice bodies" go get a JUCO or a transfer who won't eat up a 4 year scholarship. That is just an excuse for bringing in a guy he knows is a huge reach. Get used to those types of recruits, that is what happens when everything is about the coach, rather than about the school. ISU wasn't growing their brand the last 4 years, Hoiberg was.

lets ease up on ripping this kid personally. He is a solid 6'8'' guy that was good enough to get a D1 offer. That said... i think it is funny considering cyclone fans would normally think they are way above offering a prospect like this. The days of Hoiberg and getting attention from top recruits are over. The days of picking up Drakes scraps have begun

I don't think people are ripping the kid, they are ripping the Clown fan base, and the new Clown coach. Good for the kid, as it seems he has wanted a big time D1 offer for a long time, and finally got it and took it.

Kid has decent size and a decent touch around the basket. Just seems a step slow. Hard work in the gym and practicing against quicker players can improve though. Seems more like a MAC type recruit. Could probably contribute sooner if he'd gone to UNI or Drake but kids have proven people wrong before.

I've already seen the 180 degree mindset of Clone fans though. Live by a guy who told me yesterday that recruits in Iowa are overlooked and to just look at a Peter Jok playing well for the Hawks. Same guy ripped the Hawks in recent years for taking Iowa kids. Then in the same convo says the McCaffrey kids are only ranked high cause of Fran....go figure.

Clones are back to having to actually recruit high school players to their school and not their coach which shouldn't be a problem for a "blue blood" like iSu.

Yeah it wouldnt' get a reaction at all from the Iowa fan base had ISU fans not taken every opportunity to rip Fran's recruiting.

Yes, ISU has been better at basketball the last 4 years in comparison to Iowa (with the NCAA tournament appearances and B12 tournament title to go with it) but they act as if Iowa basketball is the equivalent of ISU football. Had Iowa signed Ernst, the hooting and hollering from the ISU fan base would be never-ending.

Kudos to the kid for getting the offer, and hope his career is good.

Im sure his quickness will improve now that he tore his ACL too so I wouldn't worry about that. Clinton County is on lock for Prohm now.

It's almost July. What juncos and transfers would you suggest that are available?

They were knocking McDermott when he was coming out of high school too. He isn't likely to be an all-American, but who knows how much he will develop in a couple of years. He is good enough to receive a college scholarship in basketball, which is what most high school players would want.

I've never ran a basketball practice so maybe I'm wrong, but why would a college offer a kid a 4 year scholarship to provide a "practice body"? Never heard of that before. Aren't guys like that usually walk ons? Seems to me that this is the best kid Prohm could get right now. He's an actual recruit and people seem to be justifying why a blue blood like iSu would offer such a lowly touted recruit.

The ISU fans are use to how Hoiberg ran things. I doubt he recruited him for just a fill in for a year or two. Its just a few of the ISU fans mentality toward basketball recruiting.

Apparently he’s not redshirting, which is probably a smart move considering the amount of transfer outs they’ve had in recent years.

Not going to knock the kid. He's living his dream. Good for him. But given the crap that the Clone fans have given McCaffery and his recruiting, this situation is hilarious. If we had signed this young man, especially after his injury, it would just be more fodder for their 7700+(!) post about Iowa's recruiting. Now, it is suddenly OK for their new coach to hand out four year scholarships to practice players. Oh, the hipocrisy.

Prohm might be putting together one of the worst P5 recruiting classes in the country. First Nick Babb, then Brady Ernst, and now they are trying to get this kid from La Tech....LOLOLOL This is all but guaranteeing ISU is gonna suck after next year. I bet Clown nation is trying to convince themselves right now that the kid is some stud....HAHAHA

I think Prohm should sign as many guys as he possibly can for 2015 this late in the recruiting year. The La Tech board didn't seem overly upset about him transferring.

It's deliciously ironic that they won't accept the fact these recruits are poor at best, but have a 7,500 + post thread about Iowa's recruiting mocking our 3 and 4 star recruits. Only Clown fans...

I hope their season falls apart this year and their basketball program falls to the depths of their football program. I'll gladly take the hit to our stregth of schedule.

That thread stretches back over a year when I actually posted there for a little bit. They made fun of Hutton (Wisconsin offer) Fleming (Florida, Memphis offers) and Jok all the time. They wanted to mock Moss, but since their deity (Hoiberg) offered him as well, they only mocked him some. I'm sure they mocked the Dale Jones signing as well.

I wonder what the douchnozzell ForeverIowan thinks of these sh1tty azz recruits Prohm is bringing in. I'd bet he is praising them like they are gonna be awesome......which guarantees they will suck, cause that d0uchbag is always wrong.

I'm beginning to think we don't even have to "hope" for anything. Seems that Prohm is gonna do to ISU what Lick did to Iowa. The roster next year of Thomas, Cooke, Burton, Nick N, Ernst, Babb, and some La Tech kid. Yikes! They had better hope that they can get 2-3 kids who will help them immediately as Fr.
