Brady Ellingson to Drake

Definitely good for Brady. I think he'll do well and hope that he does. A mid-major conference is more up his alley, IMO.
 
would love to see him avg 15 ppg. but i think he's gonna see a difference in the Iowa training table and Drakes training table. Plus, he's so close to ISU, now, he probably really notices the smell.
 
Thought he would be "lighting things up" at Coe, but Drake...fair enough I guess. Good luck to him.

It's too bad Brady was forced to play PG last year. He can be a pretty efficient B1G role player when used correctly. He's an off ball shooter that can score when given space to get his shot off (career 40% 3pt shooter). I'm not sure what Drake has for a roster makeup but if given the opportunity to be used correctly, I think he can succeed in the MVC.

If we did play them (have UNI this go around) funny thing is I could see something like that happening with our swiss cheese zone defense. And, the guys might not think he can make them consistently enough anyway, so there could be some arrogance there as well. And, you would think, Brady would have had some extra motivation to have a good game against his former team.

I still say they should have those 4 teams do a tournament right when they are there. The winners of the first game play each other the next night. Who cares if they already play during the year.

Crazy stat: Drake graduated FIVE guards last year. And all 5 of them played 20+ minutes per game. Brady definitely has the opportunity to step right in and play this year.

Good for him between that and new coaching staff it seems like a good fit and a no brainer for him to go there. It'll give me a reason to pay attention when I see Drake being brought up next yr
 
What a perfect landing spot for him. He could be a good MVC player. There is already buzz in DSM for Drake hoops w a new coach coming in. Having an ex-Hawk will only add to that.
 
I think he will excel at Drake. He shouldn't feel any pressure and should get plenty of playing time with the players that left after last year. The guy has skills.
