Box Score from Today's Game

He didn't, but he did deserve it over Tyler Cook. Why does it matter to you if he was the 5th best freshman in the conference or the 6th best?

My guess is because you adamantly proclaimed he wasn't going to make it no more than an hour before the team was announced with JBo on it. It was truly awesome and then you disappeared for weeks after that like always.

If he just ate the crow - we'd move on and it likely never gets brought up again. Instead he continues to double down on something that he's flat out wrong on. So, that's working against him.

Cook was better than Jordan last year. I'm not sure how you could say otherwise actually unless you're joking. I've admitted I was wrong about Jordan and he was better offensively than I expected him to be.

You're wrong but I'll debate it with you. The fact that you laugh it off as a joking matter is why nobody trusts anything you say around here.

In B1G play:
Cook - 11.5 PPG / 5.1 RPG / 51% FG / 16.9 PER
Bohannon - 10.6 PPG / 4.4 APG / 39% 3P / 14.9 PER

I'd take 4.4 assists over 5.1 Rebounds by a PF any day of the week. So on the face the stats are pretty similar.

Here's why I would give the nod to J Bo. His performance in our big wins. 17-6 & 0 turnovers vs Michigan, 8 3s at Maryland, and of course the game winning three at UW. Now Cook played pretty well in some of those games as well, but the clutch factor by JBo is what pushes him over the top for me.

I actually think you could make a pretty strong case for J Bo over your boy Carr, using many of your favorite statistics, and of course the beatdown J Bo and the hawks put on Carr in Carver.

But again we are only arguing whether he's the 4th, 5th, or 6th best freshman in the B1G. Why a Hawkeye fan would care so much to say he's actually the 6th best seems rather odd doesn't it?

Wouldn't it be great if Nunge goes 5-5 from 3 point range today, and then Cy5656 really gives me the business? Looks like Iowa is lighting it up.

Yeah, what kind of Iowa fan says that a player for HIS team, doesn't deserve an accolade that was given to him. Makes NO sense. Not 1 bit.

Cook's PER was 2 points higher than Jordan's but I'm wrong saying Cook was better. Haha like I said I assume you are just messing with me.

Hahaha. It's actually sad. You used to at least be decent at this, now you just embarrass yourself.

Pemsl's conference PER was higher than Cook, Bohannon, Carr, and Coffey. Funny I didn't hear you say he should be on the team over those guys.

Cook was better than Jordan last year. Cook scored more and while he wasn't great defensively he was much better than Jordan.

Hey 56 - Jordan was an ALL B1G Freshman. He earned it.... every bit of it. He deserved it and that's why he got it.

That's your opinion and you are entitled to it. In my opinion I think you are crazy if you thought Jordan was better than Cook last year.

I didn't say that, and they play different positions and BOTH were on the All Frosh team, so who gives a flying F. And it's not opinion. It's fact. Jordan was named to the All Frosh team. You're opinion can't change that. He deserved it. He earned. He played well enough to be on it.

When someone says "there is no way he will be on it" it means they think he's not even close. Saying you think one other guy should have made it instead doesn't help your "no way opinion. It would help you if you said "I don't think he will make it". But that's not what you said.

And you HAVE to be the worst Hawkeye fan on earth to have so much disdain for one of the best Hawkeye PG's Iowa has had in over a decade. Like the worst one. When people talk about bad Iowa fans, you come to mind.

I don't even really like them much.

To piggy back on it more. I go to about 3 or 4 FB games a year and about 2 or 3 hoop games a year. I literally cringe in my seats with all the uniformed crap I hear out of "fans" of the team. Not that I am some walking talking all knowing knowledge barer of Iowa sports, but people say the damnedest shit at games that you wouldn't imagine ANYONE saying to someone in any other setting. It's gotten uncomfortable at times. And I always think to myself... "these people suck"

still proud to be a Hawk, but being a Hawkeye fan doesn't automatically give you a free pass in my book :)

Clone fans are some of the most uneducated football fans I have ever been around. I think most around here remember that I had a buddy who's uncle was a coach on the staff years ago under Rhoads. I went to a lot of games in Ames then, and they have the lowest football IQ ever. I remember vs Texas one year, a Texas player runs in a blocks a punt and Texas either gets a TD or gets the ball. The guy next to me is screaming obscenities and yelling that is roughing the punter, roughing the punter! I looked at him and said, they blocked the punt, they can hit the punter if they touch the ball. He said, no they can not, that the player hit the punter first, then the ball, so it is a penalty.

True story bro.

No need to worry. Cy5656 is not an Iowa fan, that much we all well know.

This is exactly the same kind of stuff that I witness all the time at Iowa games. People tend to simplify things when they are inebriated. I'll also admit that I've probably been one of the dumb ones more than once especially when I was younger. The obscenities that get thrown around at the players and coaches, seriously, makes me embarrassed and uncomfortable. It happens at every event, so I can't completely say it's "Iowa" fans.. I think it's just people in general. But, yeah, things like, not knowing the rules, the players, the scheme etc... it makes me glad I can stay home and watch it a lot of times.
