Bowel er I mean Bowl Projections

>Red box bowl vs either a so so oregon lead by former FIU coach mario christobal on Dec 31

>Iowa vs Florida in the outback Round 3.

Ew.,

News flash. The acceptance of a bowl bid is not to reward the fans. It is a reward for the players.

How do you think a vote would come out, even if the bowl is not as attractive as you would like it to be, if that vote was put to the players? Another game. More practice. A nice trip. A nice hotel. Good food.

The critics who yell that there are too many bowls, too many meaningless bowls, have no say, except to stay home. OK. (Well, on the other hand, there IS the Pinstripe Bowl...)

The Pinstripe should be put to bed. High likelihood of cold weather, poor sightlines, baseball field not designed for cold weather use (no underground heating coils) not the best neighborhood, etc.

If bowl officials insist on having a bowl game in the NYC area at least have it in a football stadium.

The acceptance of the bowl bid is to bring in money.

Can we take the extra practice and forfeit the bowl?
You would have loved the 1995 Washington Huskies because that's basically what they did. They didn't want to be in El Paso and it showed. We stomped a mudhole in them. 1984 Freedom Bowl may have been the same synopsis. We stomped a mudhole in Texas as well.

I would go to the music city bowl just because I've been looking for an excuse to visit friends in Nashville. That would mean the team really didn't finish strong tho.

Well, sort of. I think I recall looking at articles post bowl game that summarized our expenses against what we were paid for the game and we really did not make much $$. But, I think going to a bowl, any bowl, is more about recognition and more practice time, plus an opportunity for the players to enjoy a bowl trip.

We're going Nashville next summer. Five married couples are renting a house on a lake. I was there in 2015, but just passed through on our way to the Smoky Mountains. This will be a real trip to Music City.
