Bielema - ****** Bag or Major ****** Bag?

Ok, they are 4-0 and have routed everyone...great for them. But the schedule they have played may be the easiest in Div. 1 football. I caught his interview after they played yesterday...he just doesn't seem like an Iowa legacy to me. He really comes across as an arrogant arse.

I think they beat Nebraska as the fuskers may be a bit of a pretender, but how can you think your offense is going to be so great when you haven't even played a decent team. They simply haven't played anyone yet so I'd temper my excitement for how well my QB is playing. I want to see how Wilson does when he's getting pressure. From what I can tell from the bit of the games I've watched and the highlights...he's had all day to throw.

It will be interesting to see how they perform this week against a legit defense, although Nebraska has struggled defensively a little this year.

What did he do or say that warrants your rather graphic and pointed question? The guy certainly doesn't lack for confidence and swaggar, but I don't hold that against him.

I don't think Wisconsin't schedule is anything to get worked up over. Wilson looks good so far. Why shouldn't their fans or Brett be excited about that? I know I'm excited about how Vandenberg has looked, but temper my enthusiasm until I see another 4 or 5 games under his belt.

I sense a twinge of jealousy in your post.

Bielema is an excellent young coach. Many great coaches are arrogant. I don't like Wisconsin but I have no problems with Bielema.

I guess my problem is up 52-3 you still have your starting QB in the gaame an are throwing it. That is not something the Hawks would do. And for those of you who will say, but Hayden did it. I will say with a backup. If that were the case, who cares. My other thing is that he really never wants to credit Iowa or Hayden for giving him a shot to play and then to coach.
that's all.

He was a major ****** bag when he played for Iowa.

He also has a good chance to win a national championship this year and he understands that blowing opponents out increases his chances of getting to the title game. Wilson has all day to throw the ball because Bucky has a good o-line, nothing wrong in that.

He is both an arrogant arse and a talented coach. So is Bob Stoops. I do give Bert* the edge on dbaggishness however.

*per a previous thread he shall henceforth and forever be referred to by me as "Bert"

I wish BB was our coach. There I said it.

They are 53-16 since BB took over (2006).

Iowa over the same stretch has been 43-25.

Russel Wilson only threw the ball 5 times in the second half.

To compare that, JVB threw 4 passes in a 4th quarter drive when Iowa was leading 42-17.

Not only is it something the Hawks would did, but they did it more and to a larger degree than the team you're complaining about.

Yawnnn...there you go again Ghost....confusing a good argument with facts. ;)

I can't remember where I heard it, but after his final game against the clowns he goes to mid-field and shakes the ISU coaches hand and says "great kicking your *** the last four years!". Can you believe that? As a player he says this to the coach.

The coach was Jim Walden and Biels did say it; a totally classless d-bag.

Did you know that he has a tigerhawk tattoo on his leg!?

In my younger days I kinda like the swag and just rubbing that salt in the wound of ISU, but...there's a lot to be said of winning graciously so I prob wouldn't endorse at this old age of mine...
