If Ben Brust had kept his commitment to Iowa, where would he be on the roster? Heading into tonight's game against Purdue, these are his numbers playing for the Vulture:

Avg mins played - 26.9
FG% - .418
3-Pt - 36-90 (40%)
Reb avg - 2.6
Assist avg - 1.1
Blocks avg - 0
Steals avg - .9
Fouls avg - .8
TO avg - .8
Pts/gm avg - 9.9

My guess is in his sophomore year, he still would be backing up the starting point guard, whoever that might be.

Not nearly as athletic as may. He Can shoot a lot better but defensively I'd say not as good. And Iowa needs better D to win games.

There's no way he would start over Gatens, but I'm sure he would be seeing solid minutes. Probably the 1st guard off of the bench.

I selected backing up the guards, but he most likely would have been starting at PG until Cartwright got healthy.
Marble could have slid to the 3; helping bring the ball up the court and May could have been on the bench.

He would be one of Iowa's top guards and would really help out our shooting. I don't think Iowa's D is as horrible as made out, but they don't matchup well against certain teams without a full roster.
Iowa still can defend teams that aren't in the top 5 in the BIG, but cannot touch any teams with solid frontcourts at all.

Starting for sure. We have zero outside shooting on this team and he does that. Plus he is more athletic than with the basketball in his hands than some of our other guards. May is athletic but not with the ball in his hands

Another question is, who wouldn't we have on scholarship that we have now because he didn't come to Iowa?

what the difference does it make?who cares about toad licklighter`s recruits they all choose to play elsewhere. we should care about what we have on team.

Who cares how he compares to the guards on this team. Its not just about this year its a four year question.

Yes he would help this team, but hes not worth settling on for four years when there are hundreds of potential recruits who are better.

Hes not they type of guy Fran wants. Fran wants athletic guys who can fly up and down the court and attack the basket.

All the guards we have coming in next year will be better than Brust.

I think Devyn was a Licklesser recruit that Fran was able to keep. THANK GOODNESS FOR THAT!!!

As for the other two I can only say Ben and Cody Who??
