Good for you! I stopped drinking 45 years ago. Watching Lickliter basketball and the last two years of our football teams offense had me thinking about it again.

First off there would be financial savings.
I had a friend who smoked along with his wife. His wife told her husband she was going to quit smoking for health reasons and financial reasons. My friend told her she could do whatever she wanted with the money she saved. Ten or so years later she told my friend she was going to go on a European vacation by way of flight and then cruise for two weeks. He told her we can’t afford it. She said she already had the thousands saved up to afford it. He asked where did that money come from. He was shocked to realize that it all came from the money she would have spent on her smoking habit.
I worked at a conscience store (PNP, petro and provisions) in Muscatine Iowa many, many years ago and I could not believe how much money people would spent on beer and cigarettes on a regular basis.
