Nice article... I want to believe the kid is going to be good, I really do, but I just can't commit to the belief.
I guess people still don't understand that the QB isn't the issue at the University of Iowa~
Yeah, it hasn't been one since January.
Iowa has bigger problems than who is the QB.

What the compound dwellers fail to understand is that Beathard could fall flat on his face and it will be no fault of his own. The difference in talent between last year and this year is significant and that's saying something as Iowa wasn't all that talented last year.
He will be playing behind one of the worst offensive lines since Ferentz has been here. 99-2000 caliber.
He has ONE legitimate B1G level receiver.
A quality TE he could have had will be coming back from a significant knee injury and probably won't play at 100% at any point of the season.
The defense will not create TO's and he will have to engineer long drives since our Punter's/Special Teams are so worthless and can't flip field position.
Iowa had enough talent and the right schedule to win 10 games last year but the first time Kirk is ahead of the curve on making a decision that can change the fortune of our outcomes, will in fact be the first time, and we rode an ineffective Ruddock all the way to a worthless 7 win season against one of the most putrid Power 5 schedules ever.
