Baseball is the best.

I really want the O's to sneak past. With verlander starting game 5 I think they would have a much better chance to win now.

Obviously I'd love to see my Cards win, but that was pretty deflating and Gio is tough to beat. Here's to hoping they put one in play for the first time in a while.

Saturday afternoon baseball is the best. Who needs to count sheep, turn on a little small ball, 3 balls later REM sleep at it's finest.

Some great series going on that is for sure....but Jim Joyce as an ump is a joke...good lord his strike zone last night was an utter joke.

I won't call it an excuse because the Cards weren't hitting anything, but werth struck out looking and he didn't call it. Those 3 to Holliday were alarmingly bad. Each pitch got further outside.

I couldn't have graduated from there. Way too tough of school.

uh, no
here is proof that isu is laffably weak:
tehboat went there for two years
hawktransplant graduated from there

do these two goobers strike you as brainiacs?

I didn't think jokes went over your head like this. Maybe it was a bad joke. I apologize sir.

If I go down to the Sports Column I can see teh boat up close and personal (saturday). Should I take a pic for you?

Joyce was outdone by Wally Bell in the A's/tigers game....with his strike zone, the A's had zero chance vs Verlander. It was a joke. Verlander was striking guys out without throwing a single strike...and they were not swinging! Bell had to be blind. Too bad.

Love that the O's and Nats pushed their series to 5. Would be great to see them both win today.
Give me an O's vs Giants/Nats World Series, please!

His strike zone was more outside but he called it the same way the whole game. He also called it the same for all the pitchers.

So, balls can be called strikes as long as he does it all nite? I hate this concept.

It was a huge advantage to Verlander since he was facing a lefty dominated A's lineup, while Parker was facing a righty lineup in the Tigers. The only consistent edge was that outside to leftys....and that helped Verlander way more than Parker due to the lineups.

Those pitches off the plate outside by Verlander vs leftys was unhittable...and once he got it, game over.
