Baseball is the best.

So, balls can be called strikes as long as he does it all nite? I hate this concept.

It was a huge advantage to Verlander since he was facing a lefty dominated A's lineup, while Parker was facing a righty lineup in the Tigers. The only consistent edge was that outside to leftys....and that helped Verlander way more than Parker due to the lineups.

Those pitches off the plate outside by Verlander vs leftys was unhittable...and once he got it, game over.

Sometime in the next 10-15 years I think we will see computer operated umpiring. If they used a system using PitchFx they could get balls and strikes correct 100% of the time and not have different strike zones for every ump, in different leagues. No need for human element.

Welp ya got to have somthing to blame it on. If you cant adjust to the game then you are not that good. Kinda sound like kirk huh?

Agreed. The fact that we don't have electronic balls and strikes yet is borderline amusing to me.

As for the thread title... Baseball is the best... unless you're a Royals fan, and the 1-month season just seems too short.

I prefer baseball to the game with 15 minutes of action in a 3 hour span (football).

I love baseball, besides my college teams ISU and Illinois, Cardinals baseball is my next favorite thing. All other pro sports blow.

Baseball is the best when they stumble onto a classic like that Cards/Nats game. As they said, you cannot take a knee,or go four corners, to run out the clock in baseball....much to the chagrin of the Nats.

Cards, who I am not a fan of, are pure clutch.

I am no Cardinal fan, but the way they grinded out at bats in that 9th inning was impressive. Down to their last strike twice and some how, found a way to win. Tip of the cap.
