Wow here is something that puts that whole Adam Robinson, Marcus Coker and yards per carry debate into perspective http://www.sports-reference.com/cfb/conferences/big-ten/leaders/rush-yds-per-att-player-career.html Stats are based on finishing their career in 2000 up to 2011. So thats a lot of Rbers.....AROoB was 46th, a little better than serviceable. Lots of very good Rbers surrounding him..hed have finished his career with very good all-time numbers.
Sooooo your plan to prove ARob was better than servicable was to point out that on average every team in the big ten had 4 running backs better than ARob over the last ten years?
i honestly dont know where to begin...
Arob was better than Coker, IMO. But that's not saying much. He was a back that I would take right now, that's for sure. But he wasn't outstanding.
he was an average back and a ****** teamate. thats the truth. sorry it hurts.
I probably wouldn’t agree per se and those who have suggested we have several guys who were better than AROB aren’t off base. It’s just mostly how they say it and the lack of true appreciation AROB gets…
But here is my bent on AROB…for whatever reason; he will go down as one of the most exciting Rbers I have watched at Iowa. Where others get ramped up about 50 and 60 yard TD’s run…I was always amazzzzed at what he did. I have had a decent gauge on many of these 2 star kids coming in and how underrated they were. Hyde, Hampton, Godfrey, Miller, KMM, Hitchens, etc were some of the guys I really felt solid about coming in…they just felt like Iowa players who were athletic and undervalued….
Arob…. I had no preconceived notions about…none. I wasn’t against him and I didn’t think it was a poorly offered scholly. Its just that I didn’t think much of it at all. And then viola…. He is one of those kids that goes out there and you say he isn’t fast enuff or big enuff or….and at times he looked slow, yet then he would explode thru a hole, twist, turn, spin and fight like mad……more than any back I have watched at Iowa and I remember them since 1981. He made the skin on my arms pop up. No he wasn’t great and yes we have had lots of better Rbers thru here, but I loved watching him play and I do miss him…..
You should probably have seen a doctor about that. That's not healthy.

He's behind a back up RB from Michigan, a guy who was a huge disappointment at OSU and just ahead of a Purdue back up and an Indiana QB, not exactly elite company.Wow here is something that puts that whole Adam Robinson, Marcus Coker and yards per carry debate into perspective Big Ten Conference Career Leaders and Records for Rushing Yards Per Attempt | College Football at Sports-Reference.com Stats are based on finishing their career in 2000 up to 2011. but that somehow proves his point...
come up with what? you put up something thad had arob ranked as the 46th best b10 rb on the last ten years as proof that he was a great RB.
